    I can't think of any mattress that wouldn't get damaged by such narrow slats spaced so far apart. You certainly wouldn't be able to put a memory foam mattress on this, as it will just ooze through the gaps. Maximum recommended slat spacing for memory foam is 8-9 cm. This looks like more than twice that, based on the amount of slats and their width. Mattresses need a base that flexes, not thin metal slats that dig into the mattress.

    The folding one looks like a better deal to me.

        Thanks, that one looks good, though I can see I'd stumble my toes on the bottom of the frame. But it looks well made with a good amount of slats. Good price with cheap delivery.

            I need to find a double bed with wooden slats that can fit in a 138cm gap between walls, but ideally with a headboard. The ones you suggested fit well and have wooden slats. Most that have headboards are too wide, except this one which has metal 'slats'.
            I may have to forego the headboard.

            Appreciate the fast and useful responses, BTW.

    We got a queen size frame from this company. The packaging, instructions and included tools made this feel extremely well built/put together for such a budget frame. Didnt take too long to put together either and is holding up well. I recommend it!
