  • Cleaners or Cleansers?

Great price for the 180mL size of the Banila Co Clean It Zero balm, it’s $30 elsewhere.

    https://www.priceline.com.au/product/195235/banila-co-clean-…

    • Thank you! FINALLY!! I'm excited to try it

    • Thanks! I've wanted to try this for ages but couldn't justify the price. Just ordered this plus my usual Cerave cleanser.

    • About to finish my Clinique cleansing balm so this is perfect! Thank you

    • OOS :(

  • +1

The thumbnail being a screenshot of Pricelines website blocking your IP haha!.

Excellent deals for Bioderma and Banila Co

  • Don't know much about skin care other than the fact that I have combination skin. What cleansers would be recommended from this deal that are also the best value?

    • +2

What are your skincare concerns? that is just as important as your skin type for recommending a product — that said Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is an easy to recommend one as it is quite gentle and affordable

      • My main goal is just clear skin, I've got pretty big pores and blackheads are mainly concentrated on my nose.

        • +4

I would recommend getting into the hang of skincare first. Cleanser (like Cetaphil Gentle Skin or Cerave Foaming Cleanser) and a moisturiser like Cerave Moisturising Lotion.

Do this every day (once a day) and then can start building your routine to target the concerns you have

        • Cleansers will not solve any of those issues, an oil cleanser would temporary make your pores look smaller and get rid of the blackheads but would most likely be back the following day.

        • I’d recommend the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser. It’s got salicylic acid which is good for open pores and blackheads, but also ceramides for the drier parts of the skin, helping protect the barrier. A good combo skin cleanser. I was a bit cynical when CeraVe was first released in Australia, but I’ve since come around and agree, after trying some of their products. Especially with the ingredients they use and the affordable price point.

      Water $0 everyday low price.

      • +2

It's not $0 though. You still get a bill.

      • Do you just use water to wash your oily pans too?

    • +14

I posted a forum topic listing recommended cleansers for different skin types. Bioderma, cerave are included in this sale.

    • +4

I recommend this : Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel Tube 200mL , last year their 400ml size is also $10, but this year $22(only 40% off) :(

      • +2

I've tried a sample of that - it's good but better for normal to oily skin. Not so good for drier skin.

    • -6

Don't waste your money on these uppity cleansers. Go down to ALDI and get a 1kg body wash for $4. Same stuff as these cleansers just a whole lot cheaper

  • What’s the best exfoliator on sale?
Need something for my sexy male face

    • I saw the Dr Lewinns one had a few good reviews. Haven’t personally tried it though.

    • +1

From the bajillion YouTube videos I've watched on the topic, I think for 95% of people, best approach is to use use a mild chemical exfoliant (like Paula's choice 2% salicylic acid), rather than a manual exfoliant. And wipe gently with a damp cotton cloth when you cleanse. Otherwise the "scrubs" will make your sexy male face less sexy over time.

  • +1

Time for some cerave blemish cleanser that stuff does a good job keeping pimples away

    • +1

      Yes yes yes grabbed 4

  • +9

Thanks OP! I bagged some Antipodes products which are pretty pricey usually. This Vitamin C cream is also included in the $10 sale (probably in error):
    https://www.priceline.com.au/product/185142/antipodes-diem-v…

    • Thanks, got one. Hopefully, it doesn't get cancelled.

      • +1

I was worried about it being cancelled too so I selected click and collect and already collected :)

        • +2

Mine ready for c&c so price is real

      • +1

Gel cleansers are usually better for oily/acne prone skin. As someone with dry/combo skin type, they tend to dry out my skin a bit too much.

Do you put sunscreen or makeup on? If you do, you need to remove it with cleansing oil/balm first, then followed by a cleanser. If not, maybe try one of the more gentle cleansers suggested above?

      • Not too sure but I grabbed both. They are both Gel cleansers so I would say it depends on your skin concern.

    • +1

Ordered but they cancelled just this item :/

    • Damn missed this. Nice find.

    • +1

Mine ready for c&c so price is real

    • +1

Just collected the vitamin C cream and it is so nice! Should've gotten 2 while I had the chance haha

    • +3

Yep the cream had the $10 tag on the shelf. Thanks OP.

  • +3

    some excellent prices here

  • +4

A good chunk of brands went back to full price overnight at CW, etc. so seems as though it’s Priceline’s turn this week. Really happy to see them countering CW during their “off” weeks, offering some great competition.

    • +5

the cleaners are cheaper in this sale than CW

      • +1

Yea and I hate CW for charging shipping while PL offers free shipping on orders of $50

    • +2

Don’t forget that CW can price beat. Good option if Priceline is out of your cleanser.

  • +3

    CeraVe. This is my cream.

  • Cheers. Got

    • Antipodes Gospel Vitamin C Skin Glow Gel Cleanser 200mL

      Ozbargained!

Why are we then still driving petrol cars when there's heaps of EVs around?

      • @Sharknado88 - An EV doesn't suit everyone, not everyone has access to adequate charging, public charging is nearly the same price as petrol.

That has nothing to do with a Wesfarmers backed corporation not being able to handle a spike in traffic.

        • see there are many factors as you have defined (charging, access, price) etc. im sure there are many factors that come to play when large corps determine website traffic bandwidth too (price, sustainability efforts, margins, etc)

    • +1

Yeah, I sent many emails to Priceline asking them to fire the web design team, but nothing happened. It’s getting worse and worst, sometimes it doesn’t load any content, and the search bar is the absolute worst.

  • Couldn't find stock in my area for my go to cleanser and website is terrible, but Amazon seem to be price matching, so went through Amazon instead

  • Shame quite a few of these types of items are not free shipping under OnePass

Weleda - Skin Food Cleansing Balm - https://www.amazon.com.au/Weleda-Nourishing-Cleansing-Replen…

  • Been waiting for this sale, it was this time last year they had the same $10 cleanser sale.
But yes, website is stupid as.

  • priceline website is terribly slow, not clear how to create an account either

  • +1

Came to check whether it was just my internet with the site. It really isn't coping.

Even when it can load a product or your cart, it then jumps to saying the items can't be delivered. Then refreshes to log you out and empty your cart.

  • I just went in-store to buy what I needed. I couldn't deal with the website and it was just so frustrating. The store assistant said that if the weather was any better (in Sydney), then a lot of what I wanted would've been sold out before lunch.

  • +1

Went to the store and guess what some of the items it was showing not available out of stock (via delivery/C&C) were sitting in the store so bought 4 items all up , thanks OP good deal

  • Site is ozbargained 😆

  • +13

To Priceline management: If you’re here and reading the comments, please consider firing the web design team—they clearly have no idea what they are doing. The old website was better. If you’re aiming for a modern design, consider using Shopify Plus like JB Hi-Fi. Their website handles massive traffic effortlessly and is one of the best in Australia.

  • Got one order through for Dr Lewinn's but trying to pay for my second order of Avene and the payment disc is just spinning around and around, gg.

    • +1

Wait and check your email occasionally. My payment disc continued to spin for 10 mins after I got my email confirmation (and then proceeded to go turn into a 404 lol)

  • Prices matched at CW

    • Wow , I went to CW bastards refused it price match and said it was below their costs and were unable to produce match any of the items on clearance at PL then decided to get to Priceline store

      • +2

Whenever you price match, it always depends on the staff.

      • +2

I love when the casual young staff refuse to pricematch like they own the store

        • I just don't get it, they work for CW, so why not just match the price? It's the company that pays, not them, why refuse? Unless the company has a policy like "If you match, you pay" or "If you lose, you pay."

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • Any product good for removing acne scars? 🫠

    • Only professional treatment I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

      • +3

Retinol/Tretinoin is what you want. Start low and slow (0.025%) and build from there. Can get from AllDayChemist.

        • This is the way. You generally don't need anything else.

        • -2

I was under the impression that Retinol is a harmone disrupting chemical. While it can help with the scars, don't want it causing any other imbalance within the body.

          • @ar7ist: Retinol, or more generally retinoids, wildly vary in terms of formulation, so maybe that's why. If you want results, go for Epiduo Forte at night, and Epiduo (non Forte) in the morning. Use 1/4 pump for the whole face. Start out infrequent and test how red your skin gets. If it gets really red, then apply infrequently and less quantity (like 1/4 pump but spread it less on your face and use the remaining on like your neck). The Differin brand is also another option and what dermas in Australia recommend.

          • @ar7ist: Sure. So is most sunscreen. But still the best topical ingredient for acne scarring 💪

  • +5

Also just a note, a lot of product was showing out of stock online at my closest store but when we went in there, there was plenty on the shelves so might be worth a trip if you can't get your order through.

  • No matter what I add to my cart, I'm told it's unavailable for delivery to my postcode (capital city suburb). Is this happening to anyone else?

  • +1

Check chemist warehouse site, they updated the prices

  • +1

Picked up a couple of $10 cleansers in store today. Thanks OP!

  • How disappointing, I ordered early on the day the deal started and they just cancelled my entire online order of three different cleansers!

Thank you for shopping online with Priceline
Unfortunately, we have been unable to fulfil your order. The unavailable items and delivery cost have been refunded to you using your original payment method. Please note that depending on your payment method used to make your purchase, it could take between 3 to 5 business days for your refund to be credited.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

    • :( can’t click&collect or price-match elsewhere?

c&c orders are presumably prioritised over delivery ones, which are store-fulfilled

btw thanks for your Recommendations & FAQ for Simple Skincare Kit :)

      • All out of stock for C&C and delivery since yesterday. Thankfully got the bioderma sensibio gel cleanser from Chemist Warehouse (they have updated prices to price match) for C&C , as long as that can be fulfilled it'll be ok.

        Thanks!

  • Does Priceline no longer have a promo code field at checkout? I was going to try some codes I found but couldn't figure out where to enter them.

  • My IP is blocked. I saved some money that I didn’t spend.

    • I didn't realise that this was a thing. I couldn't get through to the website, but after seeing your comment I hotspotted through my phone and used incognito mode, which worked fine.
