Preordered a Hisense 75 U8N for $2295 Getting Cold Feet, Should I Switch to Alternative?

In the boxing day sales I preordered a Hisense 75" U8N, from JB Hifi. Got them to price match to $2295.

The TV is currently backordered, since then I've been thinking is it the best option?

I will be using it in a room with no direct sunlight (converted garage space) it will be used first and foremost with a PS5 Pro.
I will also watch movies on it.

OLED seems a better bet, however, I have a 12 year son who plays video games (or rather game) one at a time, hours of Siege or The Crew.
As a result I worry about burn in.

Finally there is the cost, 65" OLED = 75" Mini LED

Should I wait for Australia Day and see if any discounts force my decision?

Just put some socks and moccasins on. Too easy.

    • I'll borrow my daughters UGGs

  • Burn in? It’s 2025

  • Your 12 year old won wont burn in, don't stress.

    • So I should either swap from 75 Hisense to 65 LG/Samsung or cancel the order, get my vouchers back and save for a 77?

      • Yes you should , and make sure you pay maximum retail !

  • OLED burn-in worries are overstated, there's a lot of anti-burn in measures put into place on modern OLED products that it's basically a non issue.

My 2c mate but I have both the Hisense U8K 75 and the a LG C4 42 and I personally think the U8K is a better TV all round. Vidaa UI is basic but Google tv is smoother and everything from soundbar configuration to all tv peripherals I have used have worked first time on the Hisense whereas my LG is a lot more fidgety. Would gladly recommend the U8k, and by extension Hisense mini led pro, to anyone.

  • I have both Samsung and a Hisense TV's (both about 1 year old).
In my opinion the Samsung shits all over the Hisense, in colour, brightness, clarity and field of view.
Only downside was that the Samsung was a little over double the price of the Hisense…you get what you pay for.

  • Do you have a contract with seller 1?

If so, will they excuse you from that contract and form a new one with someone else?
