Yep, always worth shopping around on these.
Asked a Harvey salesman for their best price and they did 2500 with a quick check on their pc.

Maybe it’s location dependent; like, if you’re from a less fortunate state like South Australia, the prices may be cheaper.
The Good Guys went to $2400 delivered when calling up for the 65" C4. This was beating the appliance central price of $2595 last week.

Just got off the phone with GG and they weren't able to go down to that price unfortunately, as it has to be a current price. Might be better to hold until the March/April clearance afterall.

There was also a 10% gift card at HN on boxing day that brought the total to about $3100. Some people mentioned having luck getting it price matched at Jerry, TGG for as low as $3k.

I've been right across 42" deals for years, but not been looking at 65 until now. How does this compare to the Black Friday deals in October/November (forget what month they do that) and the clearance deals in March/April (forget what month they do that haha). Guess I could do a search but I'm lazy.
This was the same price as the Black Friday sale.
Interesting that you mention the March/April clearance deals. A salesman at Costco told me that this is often the case. How much more could they take off during these clearance sales than some of the price beats mentioned above?
With the C2 42" it actually went sub-$1000 during this time, which was below black Friday levels or any other price beat deal I'd seen. I was waiting for the same deal on the C3 42" this year but it didn't happen as they were all actually sold out by then so there was no clearance sale for any residual units. So based on that I would say it depends if they have any left, you're going to get a really good deal, but they will sell out fast.
Generally speaking LG Cx 65in is a good buy around 2.3-2.4k for just the TV itself (not adding in any additional products to get that price).
This has already happened for the C4 generation as someone else has said, but usually they launch this year's model in March/April so the current one should see discounts then too depending on stock levels.
It was a great deal about 3 weeks ago: C4 for 2280 if you add LG SC9S soundbar for $999. Very nice set up!

Bundled deals aren't the same, especially given that soundbar you mentioned can be bought today for under $800 new on eBay

I did this early Dec with the 77inch, so got it for $34xx.
I bought the TV and sound bar during boxing day deal at HV. I paid for all $3281. And got back 10% back.

It’s basically $700 off for the SC9 bundled with a C4 TV plus whatever deal o the Tv you can get. I think with a G4 it was the next step up soundbar and a grand off.

Try your luck just walking into TGG and asking for a deal. I did that a few weeks back and the guy sold it to me for $3850 delivered and I used gift cards to make it better. It's not the cheapest ever but still a decent price. I knew that it might go lower around April but I just copped the few hundred dollars and to start enjoying the TV now.

I kind of wish I had got the 77 inch now after six months with the 65 C4. But an extra $1000. And I was worried about space.
That's my dilemma right now. I've had a 65 for years. Do I wait a bit longer to save up for the 77 or go for the 65 now. I think I may regret not going 77 but that extra $1300 isn't easy and only got 3 months or so of discounting until all stock gone and aussie dollar dropping…
Keep an eye on Appliance Central. They had their 77" for 4,132 the other day. Then price match with Good Guys and use gift cards. Or just give Good Guys or JB a call and try and negotiate a good price. Say a mate you know got it for $3,850 (the price another Ozbargainer put in a reply to your comment) and ask if they can get close to that, easy to do on the phone because if they don't you can just say thanks but yeah nah and hang up. Also can try in store too.
I managed to get the 65 C4 for $2495 including delivery during the boxing day sales. This was at JB Hifi.

It doesn't. One is OLED and the other is Mini LED. Completely different use cases. One is not better than the other.
Make sure that if you're interested to ask the Good Guys, they beat the price at $2750.
