Kraken Mini Nuke Intel Core i7 Desktop PC

BPCTech Kraken Mini Nuke Intel Core i7 Desktop PC for $649 00 SAVE $550.00 (as of 11/01/2025)

Has anyone brought from them and how was the unit once setup?

I recently purchased this Kraken Mini Nuke (last year), I thought it was a fantastic deal! The unit arrived securely packaged with the Kraken logo on the side of the box and protective foam inside.

While I did notice there were no documents included, such as user manuals for case and NUC12 or even a thank you note, I appreciated the email updates throughout the process. It made the experience feel a little more connected.

Would I buy another unit? While I'm not sure, I do believe this mini PC offers a great upgrade without the hassle of building your own for same price. It’s a solid option for anyone looking for performance at a cheaper cost as it has 12 cores and supports a GPU.

I think this is the user manual:

Edit: Thanks to freefall101 for giving me a detailed link.

No PCI-express 5.0 support on the baseboard
No audio speakers
No documentation
No future Gen 13 or 14 CPU support.(no CPU upgrade)

After thinking about, I wouldn't buy a NUC again.

  • Love the form factor, don't love the CPU option. They've had prices and stock fluctuate on this model for years.

It was even $699 in November 2023: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/814109

    • Black Friday sale ended a while ago yet it's still at 649 00 now.

I agree. What was it like for you to buy from Bpc?

LOL someone can not read. "While I did notice there were no documents included, such as user manuals for case and NUC12 or even a thank you note" Why would someone fake saying that. I should have said it was disappointing not to have any documentation.

  • Why would someone fake saying that.

    Sugar free sockpuppet

  • https://forums.overclockers.com.au/threads/kraken-mini-nuke-… - lots about it here for anyone looking for a lot of detail.

IMO it was great at the time, now it's getting a little long in the tooth and not quite the amazing buy it once was. If you don't have a GPU, it's over $1k once you add a 4060. The techfast deal was a better one for a small gaming PC

    • Thank you, that's very detailed.

      The Bad

No PCI-express 5.0 support on the baseboard (older baseboard)
Wifi is present, but no antennae (need MMCX connection - hard to find)
No audio / optical out.. will need to break out via HDMI audio extraction.
2x 120ARGB fans appear fixed speed and a little on the noisier side.
      Little to no documentation
Windows 11 wont complete installation without knowing this..

No future Gen 13 or 14 CPU support.

It's all true, although I get antennas but one was a lose fit. I forgot about the audio.

  • Went to upgrade the SSD to find the screw to be "threaded" and installed in the wrong slot. The manual says the slot closest to the CPU is the NVMe slot.
