  • In the description of Technical Specifications claim "Galaxy Super Fast Charging 2.0 (45W)"
    So that's not true?

I got 120w novoo and actually doing well.

      • +2

I have the 67W NOVOO one and have been using it for about 6 months now with no issues. The NOVOO one supports VOOC charging protocol whereas this one here doesn't seem to do so, which would make it far less valuable for me.

      • +1

Can confirm, have this charger and the s24U. Supports upto 45w.

    • it works with SFC 2.0

    • +2

It will support Samsung SFC 2.0.

Can vouch for this, delivers +60W continuously

Is there a simple way to work out what is right for you between 65W and 100W models? E.g. if I want to charge my Surface Pro laptop + Google Pixel phone at same time = 60W + 15W = 75W total required? (I'm basing 60W and 15W on the output of those two devices' chargers).
The 100W model is on sale at $60 at the moment.

    • see what it supports first; Amp and Volt combo, check reviews and see if this can deliver that

    • +1

You'll need to look at the output when charging multiple devices, in this case at the bottom of the product description. Assuming you're only charging 2 devices, this 65W can output 45W + 20W using the USBC1 and USBC2 outputs, while the 100W you linked can do 65W + >22.5W through a combination of a few outlets.

There may be a benefit going with this 65W at the expense of slower (though still capable) charging speeds when charging both devices simultaneously, which would revert to 65W after your phone is charged… But if you always want full charging speeds, I'd recommend this cabled version as it doesn't block adjacent outlets and gives more flexibility on placement

      • +1

Thanks, this is super helpful. I just came across the 100W cabled version you linked, I think that is the way to go.

Glad I got the anker 65 watt for 39 over boxing day sales

    • Hey! What's the benefit of the Anker over this Ugreen one?

      • +2

I have both. The anker is a touch heavier if you care about that. But they're both solid units. Haven't had issues with either. One I use in my work bag as EDC, and the other is constantly plugged in at home.

I don't think there's really anything between em. Get whatever is cheapest at the time you need it.

      • Well everytime ive seen Ugreen posted here there are mentions of them failing melting etc.

Anyone considering purchasing this should look at purchasing NOVOO 100W GaN charger for $46 - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DKDXX8D1

I have returned my uGreen 65W and Anker 65W GaN chargers as they underperformed and got quite hot in the process. I bought a NOVOO 100W and have been happy every since. I can charge my phone and laptop at the same time at full speed while charger is only warm. Also, it's quite small for a 100W charger. It's a fraction of the size of my Lenovo 65W laptop charger.

    • I've got the UGREEN 65W and found to to be very hot when plug into the laptop, might look into this

      • +1

Almost all these tiny high output chargers get hot when running at 100% generally recommended seems to be they are fine for phones where they run far less than an hour at full load. Or get the next model up from what you need so it's not full loaded (use the 100W from whatever brand if needing a long term 65W such as a laptop) or simply opt for a bigger charger. Bigger = more surface = more cooling physics is physics no matter what these brands try say sometimes

That said hot is generally still in spec think Anker and UGreen say surface temps up to 70°c are fine (which generally we do not consider fine)

    • Did you notice much of a difference between the size and weight of the Novoo compared to the UGreen?

    • thanks will get that novoo when i upgraded my laptop to one that takes 65w

    • +1

I think rather get the 120w for $3 more:
      https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CM64WV64/

      • +2

When you buy Ugreen and Anker products, you are buying quality and assurance. Novoo on the hand is abit of a gamble.

        • The guys above seem to disagree, would be nice to have a genuine review / comparison.

    • Also, it's quite small for a 100W charger. It's a fraction of the size of my Lenovo 65W laptop charger.

That's exactly the problem with it, I am extremely skeptical that such a small 100W charger would not have the same heat problem if you use it at its full charging capacity.

      • At 80% utilisation (estimated, 60W laptop + 20W phone), NOVOO charger was warm but not hot.

At 100% utilisation, Anker and uGreen would get so hot I couldn't hold my finger on it! That's a huge improvement over the other two.

  • Is this compatible with Oppo's vooc charging? My nuvoo pd charger doesn't but the $5 anker or blitzwolf (can't remember which) Pd car charger I got a while back does work with vooc.

Worth keeping in mind that if you use a USB-C hub in between with power passthrough, you will lose about 13 watts there easily. In some cases, this can cause stability issues for the laptop.

    • +1

If your laptop is one of those standard corporate Dell and Lenovo, it is not an issue. It will give you a notification that input is insufficient but the remaining 50w is more than enough to charge and run those laptop.

I use a 65w charger on a USB C twin monitor hub with passthrough.

      • My laptop can handle it with my 65W Heymix charger, but not my 65W Samsung one. On the Samsung one, it gives constant error and HDMI on the hub cuts out.
