Working for me, it's entered at checkout not before.

It's not a Loyalty Code - Enter it in the Discounts section during Checkout

  • What's it's original price?

    • Says $380 on website, I’d guess between $180-200 on special.

  • +2

    Weight:3.5 kg

    • +3

Hoping it’s a good enough case, at least 1kg lighter than most of the others I’ve looked at.

  • Will the large be checkin able with most airlines or is it too big?

    • Same question i have. My research shows 158cm to be cutoff so large is 160cm. It should be okay

  • +1

I’ve been to Japan and new zealand with bigger bags. Not sure these would pose much of a problem, seems to be generic (ish) sizing.

    • I have been to Singapore & India without any issues

  • Is this for cabin luggage or checked baggage? Can someone please confirm

    • +1

      Both. Smol is for cabin

    • -1

Already answered by someone else, but just to be clear, the main deal link would definitely be checked. The 55cm one in the deal text is good for carry on for most airlines.

  • The carry-on one weights 2.1 kg.

    Great price!! Thanks OP

sweet thanks, mrs bought one a while ago closer to $200 and i thought it was a good case, happy to grab a large at $125

  • I only see hard shell luggage on offers. Even Costco only seems to frequently sell hard shell luggages.

I assume they able to offer a larger discount for hard shell due to lack of demand?

    • More durable?

  • How good is their warranty claim if they are offering 10 years?

    • This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse (such as transportation of unusual items), neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines for example).

      • is that the same policy as with Samsonite?
        Thanks

        • +1

Yes, they are owned by Samsonite (or vice-versa)

    • +2

I had to recently get a couple of wheels on my 7 year old AT replaced due to rubber stripping off and Samsonite covered my AT warranty claim and sent out 4 new wheels.

  • the carry on is bigger than Qantas allows

    from there website
    One standard piece
For example, a small wheelie bag.
    10kg total
    Bag size: 56cm long x 36cm wide x 23cm deep

    • +4

Thats true. However, i have checked online and the consensus was that no one ever pulls out an inch tape to measure extra couple of cm from every side. Plus 158cm is listed on most airlines and large here is 160cm. Haven't checked carry on baggage dimensions

      • +4

ive seen jetstar measure cases but not qantas. probably only a matter of time till they do though

        • never seen measuring (1000+ flights), and weight checking only 2-3 times.

      • +1

Dont they have that carry on frame/cage thing near departure where you carry on is supposed to fit in it? I remember a big airline asking my dad to put his carry on in it, as long as it fits, it was ok, so we squished the crap out of it and it fit.

        • +1

I think jetstar may do it to charge extra. But never had to fit the bag in that. Its more if it will fit the narrow overhead storage inside the plane that i would worry about. Personally i carry a duffle to minimise the weight aspect but my wife hates to carry any significant weight.

Thanks OP bought this one https://www.strandbags.com.au/collections/antler/products/an… for $140 picked up locally.

    55(H) x 35(W) x 23(D) cm

    A bit lighter 1.9kg and a bit expandable. (37L-45L)

    I don't need a hard shell for carry-on.

This discount has reached its usage limit

    • +1

Ah snap! Wish we get another code.

  • +1

is this still a good deal at $150?

    • +1

Definitely. But given that most airlines have a 23kg limit per piece on economy, you're better off going with the medium..

      • I was all set to buy at $150, equivalent cheaper brands are $105-140. We have stuffed large suitcases and not come close to the weight of 23kg, if it is mainly clothes you pack. Going on winter/ski trips the space is nice. But if you do a lot of travel and carrying of suitcases around town, trains etc medium might be a better option.

    • This one life time warranty and better brand for $50 extra

  • I wouldn't buy american tourist. I bought one of their cases and it didn't even survive a single overseas flight. Had to get it repaired under warranty

  • +1

Not expired, I just used it

  • +1

Thank OP got one in dark olive. code works but have to use during checkout.

  • +2

THANKYOU25 code is back working again. Got medium for $110. Thanks OP.

  • +1

This deal is still working. Just bought large pink case. Thanks OP

  • What is the different between Package Dimension vs Product Dimension? One without and one included wheels?

Note, for the large size, the total of W+H+D for either of the Package or Product dimensions exceed Qantas checked baggage restriction (140cm) on domestic routes.

  • +1

Thanks OP got the large pink one.
