Went into Woolworths to pick up a $45 SIM, when I scanned it, the checkout had it on special for half price @ $22.
Wasn't aware this was on special and not in the catalogue. Assume it will expire when Woolworths specials are rotated ready for Wednesday trade.

Belong can't tell if a SIM pack is expired, until you buy & try to activate it… So check date on back of Pack
Thanks for the heads up. The SIM I had was a 11/2023 SIM. Activated without issue.
Up to 2 years old seems fine by past comments & my experience.
Belong told me should be closer to 1 year old to be safe. Like yours.
Also, pack shows needs to be activated within 1 year of purchase. Some in the past have found it may still activate - but it's a risk.
All $45 SIMs I found in-store for $20 last month @Coles were 10/5/22 - nearly 2.5 years old!!
Activated 1 OK back in July 2024.
Didn't risk it! Found a $20 2023 pack at another Coles.
Some have reported that Amazon sold Belong SIMs did not activate.
(Amazon may price match stores)
When purchasing, pack needs to be scanned to show Belong system it has been purchased. Amazon can forget that step. Pack is worthless if that step is missed at purchase! (Stated on pack.)
Never had that problem with store purchases.

Have been using Belong SIMs for years, with only that 1 problem.
Requested Belong to contact stores to throw out old SIM packs.

Checked online for any offers - none. As needed to swap SIMs & gift data that day - bought a SIM.
Had reassurance first from Belong - if I sent images of proof of purchase + SIM pack production date etc I would be compensated with extra $45 credit. They said that's all they could do. They did that.
So ended up paying $22 for discounted SIM (+ received 1000pts)
Bought full price $45 pack.
Less $22 refunded by Woolies - after long negotiation as receipt shows NO REFUNDS!
Received $45+45 Belong credit, + $20 referral credit.
So $110 credit for $37 after redeeming pts was best I could do at that time.
Just a lot of bother - hence the warning to check the back of pack before buying.
Needed a SIM this week as my Boost plan expires this week.
With their bonus data offer at the moment, worked out best for me to get on the $45 plan for 1 month, then swap to the lower $30 plan and use the 200GB data bank I will have.
Also used referral code so will only pay $2 (was expecting $25 without special).
Their referral system only works for 10 referrals, and I think I've hit that limit. (The effect is I have basically had a year with enough data for $22)
Anyone know please if I port out then back again (perhaps via this deal), will the referral count reset?

Yes, I've done it recently. There is no referral credit on mobile broadband plans, though.

Correct, you will lose any data you have leftover at the end of the month.

Check production date on BELONG pack is within about 1 year
Mid 2024, bought $45 Belong Starter pack on special from Woolies.
SIM failed to activate!!!
Contacted BELONG… Was told SIM was expired! Checked production date: 2021!!
Woolies staff found older packs on sale!
But wouldn't replace or refund my purchase - contact Belong! (Woolies did eventually refund.)
As needed it that day (to transfer accumulated 650GB Data to new Belong SIM or lose it), told by Belong to buy another pack @$45😜
Eventually compensated by Belong with $45 credit to new full price SIM.
