eBay Plus $5 Vouchers No More?

For a while eBay Plus came with monthly $5 vouchers that worked on any item. Minimum spend varied over time. $15 at first, then $35, then $25 for a while.

These were one of the best reasons to have eBay Plus. Unfortunately it seems that ended, at least I didn't get a voucher. Was that announced somewhere?

To clarify: I still have the $5 off $50 minimum spend but works for eBay Plus items only. Not very attractive, rarely used those.

Edit: seems the promo is ongoing, but some technical issues means you can't see the code. Chat support can give it to you.

  • Still have…
Last month i got 5 off min 25
    Now 5 off min 50…

    • Different voucher. In the past I got both, now only the $5 min $50, but limited to eBay plus items, which means I can't really use it. Very rare I buy a Plus item.

They are both still available, of course the useful one $5 off $25 min spend is hard to find though.
See my comment below for how to find your voucher code.

  • Yep. Don't think I will renew.

I was looking for this the other day too. Couldn't find it either. Might ask customer support

    SOLVED!
Ebay is playing funny buggers again.
The $5 off code ($25 min spend) was displayed briefly and then disappeared from the vouchers section on your ebay homepage.
However your code is still valid, it showed up the last few days in a couple of emails from ebay titled 'Recently viewed:'
At the bottom of the email below an item i recently viewed it says 'Use your voucher to get AU $5.00 off!'

The $5 off for $50 min spend is useless but of course that is still displayed in the vouchers on the homepage.

If you don't have any emails from ebay with recently viewed items just contact customer service and ask them what your voucher code is.

I had a chat with support. At first they said I'd already redeemed it. When I pointed out that that order was about 1 month ago they looked closer and said: technical issues, here's the code, and gave me the current one.

Thanks, actually found it in several of the emails eBay spam me with daily

  • If you try to cancel, they offer you a decent voucher to stay.

Pretty sure its $30 with a minimum spend and on certain items only. Definitely wasn't enough incentive for me to stay on an alt account.

Used to be a $30 eBay gift card with 3 years expiry. Now it's a $30 voucher code with $50 minimum spend, 1 month expiry. And you can't stack that voucher code with any eBay discounts.

My real value with eBay plus was the free fvf listings - they seem to have killed that off making it all pretty pointless

Not even a lousy 1 per month anymore.

Funny thing i have seen in a few listings in the description 'selling this cheaper on gumtree'

Meh, cancelled autorenewal after reading this thread last night. I'm not spending $50 to get $5 off. And that seems to be the only code I get, going by my eBay Plus email.

(AdosHouse), here's your monthly $5 voucher*

I finally received a TAKE30 voucher for signing up to eBay Plus (back in November). I spent over an hour trying to find anything at all that the voucher was valid for. In the end I contacted support who kept telling me that I need to find a listing that has the code listed… I told them to provide me proof that it's listed against at least one item. I doubt I'll hear from them. It's probably not worth it anyway as it's a minimum $120 spend.
I wonder how much longer eBay will survive with the way they're doing business? I still see a place for a good online auction site, but that doesn't seem to be what they're aiming for.

Same situation here. WTF is up with that! Can't find any items either!

    • +2

      Same boat here WTH!

    • Anyone find anything yet that you can use the TAKE30 code on?

  • The only store I have found where this code works is Rolan Australia
