Why buy a $1 squeegee, when you can buy this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/887491

Why fly a kite, when you can pop a pill

    • Why spend $69 when you can spend $1 and do 95% the same thing.

  • +14

I have this, it sucks because the spray hits the bottom of the squeegee or ends up leaking when you are wiping it across a window.

    • +6

Same experience, they're crap even for a dollar.

      • "I'd (not) buy that for a dollar!"

    LANDFILL

To all that posts kmart deals. ANKO or just as terrible/crap/bad/problematic
Unless they are tried and proven to last longer than 12 months of regular posts.
    The item will be landfill.
OR WORSE - END UP IN WATERWAYS, then the OCEANs

Ask yourself, what would reacher do - HEATBUT THE ARSEHOLES!

    • Doesn't almost everything end up in landfill? I try to recycle as much as possible but so much is unrecyclable

      • +1

I think the idea is that a good quality product will have a much longer lifetime and hence contribute less to landfill.

As an example: 10 shit products lasting 6 months each (5 years) or 1 decent product that lasts 5+ years. Yes you will eventually throw it out, but you will be contributing to landfill 90% less than if you kept replacing shit product.

        • That's a valid point but with 8b people on earth seems like an uphill battle. 😒

          • @corky: 8b people and they're basically all sheep. If one leads, others will catch on and follow :)

            • +1

@pennypincher98: Lemme guess… you don't count yourself as one of the sheep 😑

              • @wisdomtooth: It's literally how society works lol - corporations profit from what consumers value. Societal trends/values change… guess how?

We wouldn't be talking about landfill if people didn't care about it.

Similarly, we wouldn't have Anko if we didn't have Instagram and Tiktoks where it only needs to "look the part" without function/quality. Even Tiktok trends happen the exact same way… One leads, others follow.

                • @pennypincher98:

we wouldn't have Anko if we didn't have Instagram and Tiktoks

Wut?? People didn't buy Home & Co before tiktok and igram? I did.

                  • @wisdomtooth: Here I'll make it a bit bigger for you since you missed it the first time.

                    Societal trends/values change… guess how?

Ofc there will be basic stuff for poor people still, but a lot of the BS products like this are because of the BS people - it was just Facebook Kmart mums etc before

You seem to be a part of the Kmart cult though so not sure why I'm bothering.

                    • @pennypincher98: Question is: what are you even doing here, if you think Kmart is a "cult"??

                      • @wisdomtooth: Well if you read, which again seems a problem for you so here's a link you'll see I was answering a question on a public forum.

The real question is what are you doing here apart from whining and cherry picking more than a politician? Do you feel oppressed that people want to leave this planet in a better place because of the actions of others?

@corky: It's petty activism. Virtue signalling.

Thanks op. Buy a squeegee for $1 and charge people at the trafffic lights $1 to clean their windscreen.

    • This! Before you know it you have several dollars

    • What if the car got no coin/cash?

      • We're not in 2010 any more lol, virtual terminals and Square readers exist - no excuse not to pay!
