Rates are horrid compared to Ampol though.
It'll need to be a port in, port out job.

Currently on Ampol as well. RedEnergy Rates don’t come near :(
The 10c off a ltr helps as well.

at least it's not a 6mth wait for Cashback.

    but yeah 1c FIT , $1.29/day

    • 1c fit lol, i would almost lose money for 1 month swapping to this plan coming from a 12c fit on alinta

I've been with many energy companies. Red Energy are the ones that don't mess up meter readings and charge a fair amount. Whats the point of having low rates when they charge you 30% more usage. I'm still on an analogue meter

    • how do they charge you 30% more usage? Take a photo of your meter each month / quarter & use this as evidence if needs be, failing that submit a complaint & escalate to regulator if still not satisified

@MasterScythe - Thanks for the comment - i'm switching out of Origin after a honeymoon period with their rates.

Was looking at Red Solar - 5% less than reference with 8c FiT but didn't even know that Ampol was an option!

now looking at Ampol - 25% less than reference with 5c FiT looks tempting.

  • wow people really care about the rates. I dont stay long enough with any electricity company to have it affect me. As soon as the promo is up and my credit is all used up, I move onto the next one.

I never signed up with solar as my annual electricty for a family of 5 is $700. without the offers, I would be on 4000 a year.

    • Can you show some playthrough?
