In 2023 it was Jan 18th Wed,
But yes 2021, 2022 & 2024 was 1st Thursday of Jan.But I am still hopeful for Monday start according to Mac World and Gpt calculations

I have my GC balance lined up (have had since November). Killing me to wait! But if it's only a few days extra for the upsized cashback, would be worth it.I'll be annoyed if it is just AirPods this year.

I picked up a base model m4 macbook today, but i will return it sometime in the next 14 days to repurchase it when back 2 school sale starts. They are pretty chill with change of mind returns. as long as you bring it back in as new condition.

Looking at news I observed all back to school sales have started today so apple should start sometime this week as well. There’s no reason for any delay.
i hope so. i picked up another apple gift card from coles with the 20X flyby points offer just today aswell, ready to return current macbook and repurchase when it starts.

Anyone know if it’s possible to return a MacBook (within the valid return window) and re-purchase that same laptop on the spot to qualify for whatever promo will be offered?
If not, I’ll just return the MacBook I bought yesterday and purchase a new one to get the promo.
I believe Apple will honour back to school promo provided you purchased within the previous 14 days.

Should I go MacBook Air or Pro?
This is replacing an iPad Pro M1 and main use case is photo editing and media consumption
Pro as the base modal has 16gb of ram
I recently moved from a pro 14” back to an Air. Love having the lighter and thinner model again. Screen not as good but not really that noticeable for general use and I’m on the thing all day long. That said, not particular about colours or that extra performance anymore since I’m a general use person.
But the switch back to the Air was refreshing.
Also, specced my air with 16gb/512. Just wanted lighter and more mobile.
Get AirPods with Mac and Apple Pencil with iPad.
