I don't mind spending this much of money to buy a good branded luggage, but the experience I've had from those airport luggage handlers remind me not too buy expensive luggage.
spend within your means but get the value out of your purchase, travel when you can(get the best cost per use) and get the lightest weight luggage and sizing appropriately.
Always best to get the best value luggage. Never the most expensive or the most inexpensive.

I bought this one before, then noticed that the Samsonite hi-fi spinner was lighter than the oc2lite, so returned it and got the hifi spinner.
