    its their business model of making profit on the side. quite lucrative as other NGO sis going down this route having dedicated shops.

    I don't bother with them because their prices that they charge is pretty steep

    They sell stuff to make the money needed to provide support to those in need. The clothes you donate are sold for money. Clothes are absolutely in excess, while money to provide temporary housing, care packages (food etc), counselling, etc, is needed.
