Bro you should get onto path of exile 2 it's in early access but it's pretty good
It's REALLY early access though
Yea only half the acts are up I think 3 put or 6? And some skills and items coming soon etc. but fun can still be had
Are these still worth shucking or are the EastDigital/Neology drives a better bet?
Looking for some higher capacity drives to chuck in the NAS
Definitely EastDigital for NAS
why?
also what hdd is EastDigital?
what is the deal for the EastDigital/Neology drives and why would they be better?
Neology https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/886219
East Digital (No Current deals, pricing is still good) https://east-digital.myshopify.com/
They're better if you want bulk storage for NAS, or DAS, or if you want a few larger hdds in your desktop.
They aren't really for someone who just wants a single big USB connected drive, the seagate 20tb at officeworks is probably better if that's what you want and need 20tb.
Enterprise drives for 24/7 uptime. 7200 RPM, faster seek speeds.
EastDigital only sells enterprise drives which are much noisier.
Can anyone confirm this one is easily shuckable without destroying the enclosure? Also any idea what drive is in it (5400RPM, helium filled preferably)?
Shipping from USA… i Can imagine the abuse and rattling of the drive as it goes through its post journey 😬
You know that every single drive you’ve ever bought comes from not Australia right?
This is some of the reasons modern hard drives park their heads when not in use.
They’ll be fine, and if not - Amazon warranty!i feel like the brunt of the journey is on massive pallets less likely to be roughed up compared to random packaging amazon use
that said external drives retail packaging is very good, and well never personally had issue with oem packaged drives but thankfully lucky enough they havent put a single drive in a massive box with no packaging to roam free like i hear others reporting sometimes

Are those also shipped one hdd at a time, and also handled/ packed flimsily by Amazon? 😬
The snarky reply conveniently misses the valid point you were making.
?
This is an External drive. It comes rubber-mounted into an enclosure, which is then packed into a foam case, inside the cardboard retail box. It's more than protected to just ship as it is, right there in the retail box with a shipping label stuck on the side.
How's building of that time machine going?
Any way to price match or get close to this w/ local stock?
Not really fond of the idea of shipping this all the way from the States.
Compared to the ones in say office works which got shipped from either China or the States and then from the OW distribution centre to the local store? Much of a muchness
Can this be able to pull out the HD and plug into computer?
"shucked" like an oyster
Yes, probably has an Exos drive inside
do these need to be connected to an outlet?
Yes I believe so. From the description:
The setup is done simply by connecting the supplied power supply as well as the USB cable.
$400.83 by using Bupa life reward [3% off]
hey guys, silly question, guessing i need to buy an aussie adapter for this?
Usually yes.. just a cheap $1 UK to AU plug will do..
If you have bought other AU Seagate external HDD then the 12V plug supplied can generally be used for this one as well.
Many people buy these to shuck so have lots of spare power plugs
Enough to fill up these days one COD game.
Hahaha never heard that before one mate. Good one.
It's a really good price if you have credit remaining from the Amazon 10% off GC sale.
I remember the days when I had a 250gb HD and I couldn't fathom filling it up…… now we're in the TB territory. I have a 500gb SSD and 3 games from Blizzard fills up 190gb… wtf…. I need to uninstall diablo 4, what a disappointment.
