Hello, I'm from Sydney recently stuck in an RMA situation.
Where valve itself can't do anything. My steam deck has this situation where it doesn't boot anymore even through USB. I'm located in Sydney and as a last resort want to get it all fixed up or fix it myself but not enough knowledge on root problem, I know the battery itself is faulty due to it not working just the last time.
So please provide any technical advice or repair stores near Sydney.
They said they won't be able to complementary repair and refuse to do any type of replacement or even paid repair. No help on the issue and they have been just saying they can't help
Maybe try and sell it as “not working for parts only”. Maybe get $300 for it, then just buy a new one for $649. Might be cheaper than a repair job anyway??
That would be one solution but I wouldn't buy another one considering value warranty and RMA nightmare

anyway try booting into bios and going into the setting to boot when plugged in.
secondly, create a bootable recovery flash drive so when or if you can, boot from the flash drive as it might indicate that your SSD is faulty.
RMA situation is really bad. And it doesn't go past anything
Does the screen turn on?
See if you can change the SSD. I have read that in some cases the ssd's just die and that's it for that.
I removed the battery of the steam deck yesterday and somehow got to recover the deck itself as I saw the battery was inflated. It's working as of now
What did valve say? What's the reason they can't fix?
