Bought a new TV and the sound isn't great. Need recommendations for speakers or a soundbar. No 'smart' features needed.
I don't know anything about speakers and have always been content with the TV sound. I only just realised soundbars were a thing.
Budget is under $200, maybe stretch to $250 if there's a huge quality difference or lack of options under $200.
Setup is lounge against one wall facing TV on a 1.8m tv bench against the opposite wall. Room is approx 3m x 3m but open on one side to the rest of the living spaces.
The TV is used mainly for streaming TV series and movies with some Youtube as well.
Nearly every soundbar will be an improvement on cheap TV speakers. Audio will level up if you can afford one with a subwoofer which you may be pushing with your budget.
Look on marketplace if you are keen as they lose value pretty quickly. Post some model numbers of marketplace units on here for feedback.
