Damn good price. I got my kit for $299.

Has been great and even my mum is using it now with her hand issues.

The only drawback is there is no trigger control, once you press it, it will cut through. Scary when your fingers are near by!

The Russian mafia give it 5 stars for its finger removing ability….

  • Would this cut faster than a good quality saccatuer? And would it cut hardwood?

    • +2

There is almost nothing this won't cut. The wife thought I was a legend when I bought her a milwaukee reciprocating saw and pruning blade. This is 10 times more efficient at cutting. This is a beast. I genuinely could not see anyone being disappointed by this product. It is well worth the money if you enjoy gardening and like to be efficient with your time and energy.

      • Do you need to maintain its blades? I'm considering their compact reciprocating saw and found your comment.
        Thanks

    Battery lasts forever

These are great. I can cut branches in small pieces and fill my garden bin to the max. Very efficient, powerful and quick. I purchased deal for $207 and came with 2ah battery and charger from Total tools in March.

    Another toy I didn't know I needed.

I hear you. Out of all the tools I have due to my addiction, this was the one that has inpressed me the most. Great deal this time around at it includes a 5ah battery ( last deal in march was a 2ah battery)

  • Great tool, super strong also. Will cut through most things with ease

  • Is the skin compatible with the 54v flexvolt battery?

    • +2

I guess all 54v flexvolt battery can auto switch to 18v when needed, that's why they called flexvolt

The price beat at Bunnings; I bought it for 215.10. the lady was a pain to talk to, and I had to involve the store manager.

  • I just bought and used the Ryobi version today. What a fantastic tool! Will get this DeWalt version for my main house

  • Got it price beat at Bunnings for 215.10. Lady also made it a little difficult, but once I showed her the free shipping and explained that it was a real store, the rest just went through fine.

lol likely she didnt know bunnings and tool kit depot are under same company

  • Got the $207 deal in March. Great tool - especially when pruning the lemon tree and trimming cut offs down to size.

Edit: Get some of this https://www.stihl.com.au/en/ap/superclean-resin-solvent-1064 as well to clean it. Use an antibacterial wipe to ensure you don't transfer plant disease.

Almost got this price matched at Bunnings until the check out lady realised it was their own store. Then got them to match yardworx which was still a decent deal.
