  You'll likely be replacing the screen protector regularly anyway, so no need for any fancy stuff.

  Phone comes with a decent case already.

  For screen protector, don't get a tempered glass one… the case will press against the sides of the screen protector and the chance the protector will snap will be quite high. Just go with a hydrogel screen protector.

  Speaking from experience from owning one myself and also having gotten one for Dad too.

  Got the cheapie from Amazon a few months, both as you state for a G54.

  Not that I use it much, but it is exactly as described, looks and functions well.

  Buy 2, kids tend to wreck things.
