Still reviewed as a great TV for the price point. Not the lowest but the 10% in gift cards make up for it if your after something else anyways.

  • Ended up buying the Sony Bravia 8 55inch, tried to get jb hifi to match the discount offer, but they didn't, ended up buying it from HN, only because of the 10% gift card.

    • which 55 did you go for? I'd like a Sony upgrade in 55 or 65 size because this 75 is not gonna work in my living room…

product code - K55XR80, it's the oled one. Out of the Samsung S90D and LG C4 (LG has the same panel as the sony one) Sony has a bit better image processing, it's firmware is also better, as well as the back doesnt have an 'ass' so you can mount in on the wall more cleanly. All in all I'd say Sony, otherwise if you want to save 500$ go for the LG C4.

You can watch youtube reviews of the 3 tvs.

    2023 model for anyone unaware.

    • Current model, but released in 2023*

    • Yeh, it’s an older generation but it performs pretty well based on articles and reviews

  • this or the TCL C755?

    • I would buy the tcl because it does 144hz. I use my 75inch TV as a monitor running Windows 11 and looks nice at 144hz

      • I have a smaller cheaper TCL and while it is okay, it is very slow to start up. How is the C755 in terms of speed?

I boycotted Sony after poor customer service.

      Bought a tcl, it's fine.

      Won't buy Sony again.

It's hard to gain a customer, easy to retain them, but if you screw them over, they'll be lost for life

      • I could have got it cheaper by a few hundred from Sony ‘boxed damaged’ direct outlet, but also don’t want to deal with Sony so paid a bit extra.

I like Sony products but their AU customer service is rubbish
