I have some Ozite products. Good quality and reasonable price for DIY. Normally it comes with 3 year warranty, discontinued means you get refund if it defeats in 3 years.

it's a 5 year warranty now. this is a pretty good price since you get a 2.5ah battery and charger which are normally 20 bux. so hedge trimmer for 15 dollars

      • Yes. But looked like it is not national wide discount . Keep your receipts.

        • +3

in case they try to give you the nationwide price as the refund, and that would be too much?

    • +3

you get refund if it defeats in 3 years

If you have managed to de-feet yourself using this tool you are using it incorrectly.

    • They are made by "Einhell" and sold as a premium product under that brand in other markets..

Anyone seen this in other stores?

Looks like that one isn't published on their site, so I believe them with it being discontinued. The cheapest on the site is an $89 skin only that has a 460mm blade: https://www.bunnings.com.au/products/garden/garden-power-too…

I'm curious too whether there's stock elsewhere. I use a hedge trimmer maybe once a month for all of 5 mins, so it'd be nice to have a cheap cordless one rather than stuffing around with extension cords.

  • Looks like the same one selling for $119 online. Previous best $99

    • That's not the one. In the OP, the battery is at the back and goes up at an angle. The battery on the $119 one is horizontal at the base.

This is possibly the I/N: 0467376

Still plenty of stock in cage marked $35 but a staff member was in the middle of moving them to the shelves. I asked if it was on spesh and they kinda nodded slyly.

Scanned as $69 at the check out. Showed the photo of the cage and they adjusted it to $35.

I suspect the deal is done once she's emptied the cage. Good luck all!

Its because people in chatswood dont do garden work. They pay people to do it lol

    • Its because people in Chatswood do garden work. They dont pay for cheap tools, lol.

      • +2

its because people in Chatswood don't bother to waste time buying $35 stuff and resell on marketplace for $10 profit like some people do. They pay $3500 one and get someone else to use it and pay $350 extra..

This, I have come out of chatswood with so many bargains but then I reach the car park and see the luxury cars of the better dressed and realise I am doing things wrong

Ha ha, they should ship all to the west

      • +5

Yeah would sell out in 5 minutes.
One person would buy the lot to sell in their corner shop

  • Waiting for this to replace my cored trimmer. Unlucky the deal is not wise.

"Discountinued" - is that a new word cross between discounted and discontinued?

    • +2

      Hot new portmanteau just dropped

      • +1

agreed, I missed that, but is a good word

    • Cheers having a brunch mocktail to celebrate 🍸

Have this from a couple years back. For a small hedge absolutely does the job and battery (2.5) again does the job without dying.

If you've got a full house sized hedge to manage, probably get something more powerful /bigger battery etc.

Even cheaper now $25… 4 left at chatwood when at 7:20am. They are on the side racks.

  • Heaps of stock at Bunnings Chirnside Park. No price displayed, but rings up at the standard $69 price. I asked about price matching and they said they can’t price match other stores.

    • +1

Yep, I just went and asked the same thing. The lady I spoke to said it depends how much stock they have - Croydon still have 14. When their stock reduces they might drop the price to get rid of the final few.

For info, they're on the front wall behind the ryobi tent.

    • Just saw that they are down to $35 at Chirnside Park. At least six on the shelf. Look near the EV products on the front wall. There's a bunch of Ryobi products right in front.

  • Had a look at Kembla Grange. Still $119 and heaps of stock there.

    • $119 is the wrong model. $69 is the standard price.

  • Geelong had 1 left but wouldn't price match other stores

  • Thanks OP! Got the last one at Moorabbin. Scanned in at $35

  • Would feel bit ripped off if i get the $89 skin only now

  • Still some discounted stock available. Justsaw that they are down to $35 at Chirnside Park. At least six on the shelf.
