EFWELCOME

Great reliable portable power unit. I have 20+ for work and bought a few more with this deal. They are normally $850 each (this is the 716wh version).

They include a 5-year warranty on every unit (no questions asked warranty, I have had an issue with a unit and they had it fully repaired and back to me in 3 days, Thurs to Monday). 3x Ecoflow credits as well, so 1710 credits worth about $20. Free shipping which takes a few days, likely AusPost.

It's part of the flash sale, can't say for sure when it will end. Update at midnight, deal still showing up for now

To redeem it, click on the sale banner, then flash sale. Add the item to cart and use code EFWELCOME at checkout for $79 off.

Does it have UPS function - what do you use so many for?

    • I had the same question, would be nice if it did function as an ups.

      • It does function as a UPS, sort of. It has EPS so <30ms auto-switch when the power source is lost. It is faster when the battery has a higher charge percentage.

Eg. I have a spare one at my desk connected to my PC. Ecoflow is charging via wall power and the PC is plugged into one of the AC outlets on the Ecoflow. If power is lost it will use the Ecoflow like a normal UPS. This works perfectly and the PC stays on the whole time. You may need to test if you have very specific electronic equipment but if it works for a PC, I would expect it to work for most devices.

        • Ps, answered the other question in another comment.

  • And it's gone! Great price, even though it has slightly lower capacity.

    • It's still available as of 30 secs ago. Only 1 use of that EFWELCOME code per email, so I just entered a different email address and it works again.

  • Seriously, what kind of work? Ballpark industry at the least please.

Video production, livestreaming mainly. We live stream sports matches eg. community Rugby, so send a camera op out to sports venue and give them an Ecoflow to power the LiveU and camera kit for 10-12hrs. Very few venues have power, and if they do it's in the shed nowhere near the field or where we need it. Works really well for corporate work as well, no wires running around the room for clients to get annoyed at or trip over.

Also have a big Delta Pro in the OB Van for battery backup and remote work, works nicely with the DC DC charging from the Smart Generator.

Thank you and make total sense now.

  • Thanks OP just got one for 570$

Anyone used this with a solar blanket?

What kind of watt would i need to get this going?

    • +1

Nice. I don't have any of the solar blankets/folding panels. I did get it going with a spare standard 200w panel (from a home solar setup), was getting 170w in the full sun. I have found these units are much better with the solar, I couldn't get my older River Pro 1 to work with it.

Ecoflow also makes solar blankets, or if using your own double check the voltage and the Ecoflow specs to make sure it's compatible.

  • How does this compare to the other recent deals like the VoltX 800W & the Yard Force 1200W, or the 70mai ?

    • +2

I bought one of the Yard Force 1200s just because they were so cheap.

In summary, it's just very cheap. If you want something reliable and functional get the Ecoflow.

The charger is a pain, it's a huge power brick and is very slow to charge, takes around 8 hours. On the Ecoflow it has the PSU built in, just a small IEC cable which you can cable tie to the handle. Plus the Ecoflow fast charges in 70 mins and has a much better battery.

Can't really go wrong with the 5 year warranty on the Ecoflow, I think the Yard Force was only 12 months, maybe 24 but I doubt it. Wouldn't expect the warranty process to be great with Yard Force either, haven't ever heard of them.

If it's just for the kids to power iPads in the back of the car or something similar, the Yard Force might work. Just don't rely on it for anything like camping where you need the power and don't have a backup.

Thanks OP, I picked one up.

Never used one before, if anyone has any recommendations on solar blankets that would work well with this to power a portable fridge (55L Brass Monkey), it would be greatly appreciated.

A quick Google search is saying about a 220W blanket would be good but I don’t know the first thing about solar blankets.

    • Did a quick Google search as well. From what I found the fridge will use about 60w, so even a 100w blanket would work. The fridge itself will last 11 hours from the Ecoflow alone but for longer trips I could see the panel being useful.

Ecoflow makes a 60w one that could work perfectly. https://au.ecoflow.com/products/60w-portable-solar-panel-cop…

If you want to power more than just the fridge, you will need a larger panel. If so, I would recommend getting one from a store with a good return policy so you can test it and make sure it works.

Thanks. Will be good for camping and for home for when the power goes out.

  • Still salty that mitre 10 cancelled my order .

    • Damn that sucks. I could sell you one of mine for what I paid if you really want one, would recommend the Ecoflow a lot more but depends on your budget I guess.

      • Do you think it’s a better unit for camping and stuff running a fridge, fan and few light and charging devices. I mean it’s nearly 1/2 the battery size in this unit compared to mitre10 unit.

        • +2

I think you will prefer the Ecoflow just for ease of use and peace of mind. The fast charging really is a game changer, the number of times I've forgotten to charge it or leaving last minute. Being able to take it with me to lunch, plug it in and it's full in an hour is really handy.

The battery capacity is closer to 74% compared to the Mitre10 974Wh vs 716Wh. As much as I hate having apps for everything, the Ecoflow app is functional for once and it's nice to be able to view the usage and battery life on your phone away from the unit.

Thanks for the advice. I will pull the trigger on this one than :)

  • my order got refunded not sure if its just me though

    • Hmm odd. Doubt anyone is awake at this hour to manually cancel them, so likely an automated thing. Still showing on the site for now.
