Bosch Blue 18V Drill & Impact Wrench/Driver Kit 4x 8A Batteries + Pencil + Bonus $100 Credit $500 Delivered @ Sydney Tools

170

I missed out on the Total Tools deal but I found a very similar deal at Sydney Tools.
The kit is down from $749 to $499 but instead of receiving the 2 batteries WITH the order on top of the regular 2, you will receive the bonus 2 batteries via redemption.

The bonus is the third banner down https://sydneytools.com.au/category/by-brand/bosch
You must purchase by 31st of December and claim must be made by 15th of January but the bonus points only valid if purchased by the end of today.

Until the end of today you will also receive $100 for every $500 spent, so if you buy one kit and some very cheap like this Xtorque XRCPM-HB Xtorque XRCPM-HB item that gets you across the line to $500, you will get $100 in future credit applied to your account.

The Bosch Blue Kit Includes:
1 X 18V Brushless Hammer Drill GSB 18V-85 C
1 X 18V Brushless Impact Driver/Wrench Combo GDX 18V-200 C
2 X ProCORE18V 8.0Ah Battery in the kit
2 X ProCORE18V 8.0Ah Battery via redemption
1 X Fast Charger GAL 1880 CV
1 X L-BOXX Carrying Case

I hope this posts ok

EDIT: Looks like the banner was removed as the stock of the battery had been depleted
The original banner seemed to have just been updated, but was previously this: https://i.ibb.co/qy01hfC/ozb.png
Deal Number 1 in this link is the deal that stated batteries would be supplied in-store https://www.boschbluecrew.com.au/EndOfYearBonus2024/Content/…

  • Can the impact wrench be used to remove car wheels lug nuts?

  • That's insane value including those batteries. Pity I went Dewalt.

    • I think Bosch is clearing out stock.

This drill has already been superceeded by a new model going from 85Nm to 110Nm.
The driver/wrench combo has a new version out next year going from 200Nm to 285Nm.
ProCore 8Ah batteries have a new version - ProCore+ 8Ah with tabless cells.
The 8A charger used to be their fast charger but now there are two 16A chargers.
Even the L-BOXX cases have a new version (backwards compatible) coming out 2025.

But yeah, I bought the totaltools version of this deal - $900 worth of batteries for effectively $400. I'm counting the tools as freebies.

        Or.. someone somewhere messed up.

TotalTools deal was cancelled as pricing error, should be $708.
Sydney Tools won't give out batteries and there's no Bosch online redemption available for that store.

        There's still:
Bunnings at $619 - online redemption for the two extra batteries (and it definitely is on the redemption form)

ToolkitDepot at $636 (storewide 10% off the $708) which has in-store/in-cart bonus batteries.

Someone might want to try price matching the $499 at Sydney Tools, but I'm not venturing out on boxing day.

$619/636 is still a good deal for the kit, but since I wasn't interested in the tools and just needed batteries.. I'm out.

        • +1

Bunnings is now down to $499, so it’s a decent deal (but not as great as op ofc)

          • +2

            @GoodToKnow: Yeah, just noticed that..

I ordered from TKD instead since they supply the batteries directly instead of having to claim them from Bosch.

Not posting the deal considering it's not as good a deal as the TotalTools / SydneyTools and seeing as those both caused trouble, so who knows if this will work out.

Here are the links in case anyone wants to try their luck. $499 same deal minus the $100 points.

            @GoodToKnow: That was me.

I went into Bunnings and asked them to apply their best price guarantee (beat by 10%). I had both Sydney Tools and Bunnings web pages opened on my phone.
They triple checked that this is the same item, then they check it was in stock in multiple stores, then told me the price guarantee is not applicable to sale prices. So they can't do anything. The price was $619.
I went back to the car, refreshed the Bunnings page, it was showing $499 now.

This is the second time happening to me - Bunnings refuse to beat or match the price and minutes later their price goes down.

            • +1

@SickDmith: Well thank you kindly then. My order shipped today.

I’m still going to be a bit salty about total tools for a while.

            • +1

@SickDmith: Thats bullshit from them…their policy only excludes the following

This excludes trade quotes, stock liquidations, commercial quantities, and items sold by other Bunnings Group businesses and Bunnings Marketplace.

Don’t forget if you spend $1000 on Bosch you also get a free laser level!

Just did that deal a couple of hours ago.
    Spent $1002

I will say the staff had no idea about the battery redemption.

    • What items did you purchase?

      • +1

2 of these kits and a Phillips impact bit.

    • There are no redemption selection on boschbluecre website for this combo I checked.

      • +1

Yes I’m aware of that I’ve posted on this stream saying that it needs to be done instore.

Bosch refused my redemption pointing me back to the store, luckily I tried this before I picked up my click and collect order.

  • +1

    That's an amazing promo.

  • It says “This product does not incur bonus points” for the $499 kit?

    • When I add it to the cart with the pencil it writes "You will receive $100 as points as part of the Boxing Day 2024 Bonus Points.
Please complete checkout to receive your points."

      • +1

        Got it. Thanks!

  • +1

Op, I will add that you have to redeem instore, I did a click and collect and tried to redeem online using the invoice before I picked it up, Bosch declined the redemption stating that Sydney tools need to do it in store.

    Refer to this document:
    https://www.boschbluecrew.com.au/EndOfYearBonus2024/Content/…

The staff at the counter did not know about it, they looked it up on their system and it was colour coded for in store redemption, they gave me the batteries but were unsure how to do it in their system.

    • Ohh so you can't click n collect or ge tit delivered to redeem the extra batteries?

Damn chat make it to a store today.

On another rnotes j see there's one which has a grinder and another which has the case but they the same price. Which has better value? Don't really need a grinder but I guess could sell it to make up for it.

      • +1

I’m not sure, but it doesn’t add the extra batteries to your cart.

Value depends on what you need, if you are selling off some batteries the procore go for more.

I did a click and collect but spent a while at the counter while we went back on forth with the batteries, I was prepared though, I had the email from Bosch and the document that I linked above.

      • +1

The pack with a grinder has the non-procore 5Ah batteries, and the impact is a lower tier version.

$499 is still a good deal for that pack, especially with $100 store points BUT that deal shows up every six months or so.

This particular deal is crazy good value. Just the 4-pack of batteries sell for almost $900 normally.

        • This particular deal is crazy good value.

If you can get it. :|

          • +1

@SickDmith: Yeah, that's the OzBargain curse.

There are plenty of missed deals I grumble about years later.

              @KentT:

There are plenty of missed deals I grumble about years later.

The pain of missing out is absolutely real. The only cure is forgetting those you missed, and thinking about deals you did manage to grab.

Other good specials on Bosch stuff.

Rivet gun down from $1600 to$700 for example

  • Bosch Blue 18V Drill & Impact Wrench/Driver Kit, 4x 8A Batteries

How can you get 4x 8A batteries. There is no Sydney Tools under Store Group. Do they give 2 extra batteries in store?

    • Yes you need to ask for them. I had same issue I marked as independent store, Bosch rejected my claim stating that Sydney tools need to handle the redemption instore.

Staff weren’t aware but did find something in their system.

      • Ok, thanks.

  • I must be missing something… there doesn't appear to be a "third banner down". Has this deal effectively expired?

    • I just clicked and it is now gone… Here is how the banner looked https://i.ibb.co/qy01hfC/ozb.png

The banner linked to the $499 kit relevant to the 2 free batteries promotion

    • There are no 2 extra batteries; I just came out of the store. They asked me to get this.

      • According to the deleted banner, it made reference to the kit and that you will get the 2x additional batteries via redemption.

      • +2

Here’s the Bosch promotion terms and conditions, it’s the first one listed when you get to the table. Expires 31st December, it just seems that no staff at Sydney tools know about it, Bunnings, total tools, tkd etc all seem to be advertising it. In fact I saw an add last night on Boschs social media that linked to the Sydney tools product page.

        https://www.boschbluecrew.com.au/EndOfYearBonus2024/Content/…

        • +1

Cheers for linking this. Would imagine that this is evidence enough to get the deal at Sydney Tools as it explicitly mentions them.

      • +1

Here’s a link to social media add bosch had up last night that links to the product on Sydney tools website

      • Just came back from the store - they refused to give me any extra batteries.
        They said:
        1. There is nothing in the system. So we can't just give you batteries.
        2. This promo you are showing us on Bosch Blue Crew website is running since November 1st. We sold a number of these kits. So far no one claimed any batteries via us.

Bosch Blue Crew "is on holiday" so they can't help.

        • +2

Shame on Sydney tool . Store managers dishonor this deal to public.

          • +1

@stone8552: I was under impression Bosch is doing this promotion so Sydney Tools got nothing to lose…

            • @SickDmith: Sorry to hear people weren't getting it. It was advertised in multiple emails and the advertising was on Sydney Tools very own site until just a few hours ago! So they basically spent days advertising to then tell some people that they can send the order but without the bonus battery.

              • @kaybrr: Had to take the long way around to get this deal, but it worked out in the end, thank you for posting, OP. I would've missed it otherwise, I didn't see the Total Tools deal initially.

            • @SickDmith: No profit means lose i thought

  • +4

Got this deal honoured at Sydney Tools Regency Park SA.

After a call to the Bosch team, a look at the T&C's and some time on the computer they put the deal through.

Receipt showing the purchase if that helps anyone.

    https://ibb.co/Gt3fq9F

    • You bought the exact item (impact bit) I did to get it over $1000 too.

One question for you @samuelhat did you get the $200 in bonus points? I got the extra batteries (they didn’t add to my order invoice though) but I can’t see the points allocated to my account.

      • +1

Was told that the points will be added to my account manually in a couple days. Will see if it happens and follow up in a couple days

    • +1

Congratulations! However, what a let-down from Sydney Tools. Bunnings and The Tool Depot both were happily selling it…

Sydney Tools cancelled orders, Bosch deleted the promo from their site, all a day after many people tried to purchase.

  • +2

Looks like Bosch and Sydney Tools scammed us all on this deal. The Regency store staff were great to honor it though for someone.

    • I'm still waiting for a refund a week later

      • Same here!!

      • Same, refund requested 27 Dec, still nothing.

        • Have you received the refund yet? If so when?

          • +1

            @moo: $$ refunded

            • @payton: Congrats! Strill waiting for mine… i dont understand why they dont just click refund…

      • Have you received the refund yet? If so when?

        • I got a phoine call last week that head office needs to authorise refund and then its back. I am confident it will come back, and purchasing by credit card you can be assured it will be paid back one way or another.

  • -1

    Try contacting Bosch directly.
    [email protected]

perhaps they may agree to send you the 2 bonus batteries.

    • No, they specifically said they wouldn't to me… and then they took off Sydney Tools as an option from the website

  • This definitely shows it to be a Bosch issue, not a Sydney tools issue. Please try to email them, and get in writing that they won't honour their redemption offer.
