Wagner is Chemist Warehouse's home brand, so it can cut some marketing and distribution cost.
If you get Healthy Care when it's truly discounted at CW — check Price Hipster for that — it can also be one of the cheapest options too.
Caruso is always far more expensive than anything else. Is it really better quality, or is it just presumed to be better bc it is so much more expensive?
Vit D dosages sold in Oz are ridiculously low; I'd have to take 15 caps of these a day just for maintenance, and 50 when coming down with something. Better off buying California Gold, iHerb's home brand, 360 caps x 5,000 IU for $29 (free delivery above $80).
Pls share link?
Agreed 💯, how 1000IU in AUS is still the streamline standard in 2024 completely baffles me.
@w1nthrophy i think he is referring to this but it is OOS anyway. More importantly, I suggest taking D3 accompanied with K2 (as MK7) for better absorption by the body.
This D3 K2 180caps for $35 is definitely one of the most economical D3K2 you can get in the market when you combine with:
A. their current 20% off Sitewide code [20FRESH25].
B. Alternatively, there is also 20% off First Auto-ship order, i’m not sure if that is stackable with A.
C. Even better, TCB’s today’s 20% cashback rate is a great offer too, would be awesome if @tightarse could confirm if either A. Or B. Can be stackable with TCB’s current offer. 🙏
I take Prowise D3+K2 in drops. 300x 4000IU dosages for around $20.

Advantage of drops is that you can go for sublingual absorption, and at least partially bypass the digestive system (you'd still swallow at the end, and hope for enough bile to digest the fat-soluble vitamins).
Trouble with D3+K2 combos is that you can't vary the D3 dosage — I follow Dr. Coimbra's protocol of 200 IU/kg/day for maintenance, if I'm not in the sun, that is, and especially in winter — without varying the K2 dosage, which by all protocols I've seen is at a fixed qty of 180-200 mcg/day regardless of body weight. For me, I'd be taking 3 of those a day to get 15,000 IU of D3, and also getting 360 mcg of K2. Too much? Don't know. Otherwise, great deal!
My doc didnt go into how much/kg/day formula but just told me to stay in the 3 digits range but <200 (ideally ~150) and I find that taking 5000IU/weekday helps maintaining level 100-150, unless unwell then bump it up to 10,000/day for a week or smth.
@noelhoi: When coming down with something, I bump it to 50,000 IU (I reckon IUs were created just to scare people; 50,000 IU is just 12.5mg).
Is the 3 digits of K2 mcg's or D3 mmol/L level? For D3, I aim at 250 mmol/L, which is typically touted as the maximum recommended level, but in fact is nowhere near toxic levels, and is most likely the level humans were at, before we started hiding ourselves in buildings and under clothes (in warm climates, that is). In fact, there is no toxic D3 level, there are just toxic D3:K2 imbalances (insufficient K2 to transport into the bones and tissues the calcium brought into the blood by D3).
@wisdomtooth: The 3 digits are for the D3, not the K level.
And i believe in australia we only use the mmol/L.
would be awesome if @tightarse could confirm if either A. Or B. Can be stackable with TCB’s current offer.
I missed the 20% CB, but just bought with TCB's current 15%, which is explicitly listed as stackable with iHerb's 20FRESH25
code.
I take 3-5 of these a day to just maintain. Normally get the 5000ui from iherb
Is it oil based
All vit D3, like vits A, E and K, are fat soluble.
i meant these are small yellow capsules similar looking style to fish oil caps
compared to this vit d which are tiny but white tabs ?

why does it stink ?
Is Wagner comparable brand in terms of quality with Bioglan and Caruso?
Wagner is comparatively cheaper than most brands.
