Where to Buy Digital Piano/Keyboard in Sydney ?

Hey all, I’m looking to buy a beginner piano, and I’ve settled on the Yamaha PSR-E383.

I couldn’t find it on Amazon or Temu, and I need it before New Year's or by the end of the first week of January. Any suggestions for reliable online stores or places around Sydney where I can get one in time?

  • Did you use google to search for stores in Sydney that sell the Yamaha PSR-E383? Did you find any?

    It's that difficult using Google?!?

At least half of the stores listed have a NSW location …

…and see if they'll match $276.30 from Kosmic Sound.

  • Thank you All. Just wanted to clarify, I understand your comments about using google. But this is actually my first time ever buying a musical instrument. I assumed it would be pretty straightforward, like picking it up from places I usually shop at, like JB Hi-Fi, but unfortunately, the Yamaha PSR-E383 isn’t available there. Since I’m not really familiar with the specialized music stores, I was just hoping to get some insight from anyone who’s bought instruments from these shops.

    • 1) step 1, do a google search, PSR-E383 or PSR-E383 Sydney
      2) on result window, click shopping tab
      3) go through each listing, check for store details, find and buy.

    • Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted, someone who has used these stores before and can confirm if they are reliable.

      • The first one is in Newcastle, so not exactly convenient for you in sydney.

It's a $300 keyboard, just google stores within driving distance, see if they list the item as in-stock and call to ask if they will price match whatever cheapish other stores you find in the area.

      • For similar music stores:
        Manny's
        DJ City
        store DJ
        Turrumarra Music

Are all in Sydney, some with various locations.

I haven't checked stock, just listing alternatives.

But as said below, check marketplace and Gumtree. There's always music equipment for sale.

You can get pianos for literally 30-50% of the cost on Marketplace, a lot of people buy them with the intent of learning and never do, or parents get them for kids and the kids don't end up wanting to learn piano…etc.

I picked up a Roland DS88 for $650 on gumtree. It was near mint. Normally @$1500.

You can get away with a plain midi controller imo, and let your phone or iPad or PC or Mac or whatever do the sound. Though buying a used digital piano on gumtree could be cheaper and will also have a midi output.

  • To learn piano you need 88 weighted keys, which PSR-E383 lacks.

  • my husband bought one on ebay, cheaper than the local piano shop :)
