they are price matching ALDI, limited time only.

    • I’ve been used this one for a few years now. Very handy.

      • Any comments on the display on the ozito?

I got the aldi one last time, I absolutely loath the hard to read display.

Curious to see the ozito one close up. BTW got Certa 9+ from Kogan and its split open through the middle every screw mount has snapped somehow. so bizarre so good timing on the post.

  • battery died today and got this one what luck

  • This or the Aldi one? These are no CTEK or Noco, I understand

    • Ozito has a reconditioning mode, to restore capacity of old batteries. So I'd probably go for that one.

I have the aldi one, but I have a seperate device for desulfating

      • Does the ozito have trickle charge.

Want something for the jetski during the periods that it's stuck in the garage for longer than I want.

        • Why not get a battery tender then?

        • I too was interested in this. So I read the manual. It has an M mode for maintenance. This charges at 1 amp for smaller bike and jetski batteries. The aldi one does the same but labels it with a bike symbol. This also has an agm mode for charging agm batteries (usually 14 4v as opposed to calcium charging at 14.7v) which the aldi one doesnt have. The longer warranty is a winner. Sadly the last thing I need is another charger. Lol.

          • @feisty: The Aldi charger's bike charging mode is 6 V though is it not?

            • +1

@ozhunter68: No definately 12v it runs at 1amp current vs the 4 ish of the car mode. It might have a 6v mode but nothing in my life since my last beetle in the 90s is 6v

              • @feisty: Haha, and that was a while ago me thinks. Maybe newer models bit different? Mine is in storage and can't access easily, and memory bit vague lol.

  • For car batteries?

    • It will get the job done.

General rule is the charger amperage should be ~10% of battery capacity if you are charging for maintenance/top up purposes.

Not for Lithium so just be aware…..

    Will it charge my tesla?

  • I have a totally flat car battery, should I use this one or a jump starter?

    Thanks in advance

If you have time charge it, if you need to go in a hurry jump starter

    • +3

This will work if you have 30 minutes plus (size if the engine/battery dependent). The benefit of using this is that you can charge your battery fully as opposed to having to drive around for an hour scared to turn off your car. Plus cheap jump packs can be pretty unreliable in my experience

      • Thank you both!

I definitely have the time so this one it is.

  • How long does it take to charge just to start an average SUV?

    • Maybe an hour, but I would give it two to three to be sure.

  • Just FYI (sample size of 1) but I had one of these and it died about 2 years later. It still lit up but would not supply the charge at 4A, only <0.5A from what I measured.

Went to Bunnings and got a refund easily, although I always keep the original box and receipts for this reason.

I'm now back to using my 30+ year old Arlec charger which has never failed me. Old school shit just lasts better I guess?

  • How does this compare to the Victron Blue?

    • They'll both charge uour battery and maintain it if you leave it connected. This doesnt do lithium. Victron app for the general persons use of abattery charger is a little OTT

  • What's the difference between this and gooloo battery maintainer?
