Sorry mate, I have updated the title.

    • i thought it was for 3 shoes. For people that are in the area of the proposed Nuclear reactors that will grow an extra leg

Puma Velocity NITRO 3 for $99.99

    So, $33.33 each?

  • +2

    Ordered 3

    • What do you need the 3rd one for, middle leg?

      • +1

OP only got himself one and really loves it. Surely for middle leg.

      Legendary Geoff8 Comment

  • These are ok. Not very soft.
Puma has them at around $80 right now.

    • -5

That’s not correct I checked Puma website and it is $86 and limited sizes only size 7.5 and 8

      • Yeah ok, they had more sizes previously.

    • +7

You realise that shoes are made for men and women right? If you spent 2 seconds longer looking on puma website you would have seen the men’s version also.

  • +4

    These run narrow

    • +14

      So perfect for laneways?

    • +1

      Thanks, I will pass.

As others have indicated - cheaper from puma actual, but different colour and sizing limited to us7 and 7.5. not apples to apples comparison.

    • +3

but Puma don't have all the sizes for this cheaper price though.

  • Same lame jokes on full display above first thing in the morning I see.

Lots of tension in this chat. +1 this comment to spread the Christmas cheer.

Bought these earlier in the year. Would be good for a daily, all-round running shoe. Not great for long distance, or speed runs, or recovery runs, but a good daily shoe.

Unfortunately I can't wear mine for more than a few km running before I get blisters along my arches because they're too narrow for me. Have become my dog walking shoes.

Someone mentioned above that puma sell these shoes under women rather than men (as rebel do). Cheaper at $86.40 plus shipping, but no clue if sizing is women's or men's

  • Does this run small or true to size? I have addidas nmd US 9 and wide feet

    • true to size. I have Adidas Adizero SL2 in a US 10 and I'm a US 10 in these

      • Thanks ordered

      • Comparing with SL2 might not be the best, as I had to order mine 2 sizes up from my normal (1 full US number).

    • +3

I bought half a size bigger than my usual size
they are still too narrow but are like full size longer with a lot of space in front of my toes
      returned

I wear US8 Asics and NB standard width

  • -3

Ive seen these as low as $60 on puma sales

I bought these in olive green for $40 a few months ago

    https://au.puma.com/au/en/pd/electrify-nitro%E2%84%A2-3-knit…

    • Must have been left over small size

    • +1

Electrify are a different model to the Velocity in this post.

Electrify are the budget version of Velocity basically. Good for new runners or if you're just walking in them.

      • -1

I prefer knit as they are super light and $40 was a steal

        • -2

Knit isn't good for breathability and longevity if you are a runner. But worse, they retain water and sweat = get smelly over time. If they are just for walking than that shouldn't be as big of a deal.

          • @Lucille Bluth: Just light cardio and gym.

I clean my shoes every week. All shoes tend to retain sweat and eventially smell over time.

Im not a runner. Just do cross trainer on max resistance 1hr daily to keep leg muscles strong as i hack squat and leg press heavy.

            • +1

@easternculture: I think the socks are what really makes a difference with this. The bamboo ones and maybe some others help a lot.

              • @Skatez: Never had an issue with smelly shoes. Its all about hygeine.

The smell is usually from bacteria or fungus that grow on your shoes and love the sweat, dead skin etc. If you clean your shoes regularly, and maintain own hygeine, you will never have smelly shoes or feet

                • +1

@easternculture: Exactly. Fresh bamboo socks every day and you’re laughing. Before that some of my socks were cotton blend or synthetic material and as you mentioned eventually the shoes would start to smell over time and need a wash.

  • Legend, thanks.

  • Bought 3 thanks

Highly recommend people head into a store and test out sizes on this one. I gave up trying to get a size that fits me ordering 2x from puma and returned both times.

Deviate Nitro 3 is a better buy IMO but limited sizing https://www.rebelsport.com.au/p/puma-deviate-nitro-3-mens-ru…

    • Puma is a brand you really need to try before buying. They vary so much between models.

      • Or buy 2-3 sizes so you don't miss the deal, then return the ones that didn't fit.

  • Is this better than Nike InfinityRN 4?

    • +1

Too subjective to comment definitively. But to me yes, I prefer a lighter shoe and the InfinityRN 4 is a brick compared to this. According to runrepeat 316g vs 264g.

And nothing compares to Puma Grip.

  • once you have Hokas there's no going back

    • I'd like to see a Hoka at $99.99

      • Hoka's and now minimum $299 for 1 hr .

        Cost of living crisis

        • Just picked up a pair of ZF6 at $130 in TW. Bargain.

    • these will last a lot longer than Hoka's when you're clocking daily miles. I had a pair of Arahi 5's and barely got 400km out of them

      • You didn't treat her right

        • +1

yeah I don't really do Hoka's. Reading some of the running threads on reddit and a lot of people say the same, they die in the a$$ at 300-400km

          • @wce2018: they die in the a$$

            Haha. This made me lol

          • @wce2018: currently at 500km and beginning to show signs now. I feel like ill still get another ~50km out of them - knock on wood (Hoka Clifton 8 for reference)

Additional note: I have not looked after them and have been using them as a lifting gym shoe (yes not smart) til recently.
