TP-Link Tapo RV20 Max Plus Robotic Vacuum and Mop with Auto Empty Station $349 + Del ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ The Good Guys

210

Part of the Boxing Day sales. Seems like a good unit, as it comes with the Auto Empty Station.

You can get a price match for $344 (or via The Good Guys Commercial), but I was about to get $20 off using Student Beans then a further 5% off using TopCashback (or via discounted The Good Guys gift cards, you can't stack both in T&Cs) for a final price of $312.55

This is part of Boxing Day Sales for 2024

  • No LiDAR ? Pass from me sorry

    • What makes you say it does not have LiDAR? I'm pretty sure it does?

      • It does, just not with the little disk on top of the unit.

        • What does that mean? I think they put it at the front so it can fit under narrower objects? That's why they call it 'MagSlim'?

          • @The Wololo Wombat: I think it means that it doesn't have 360 degree vision, it would need to turn to analyse the surroundings - e.g. mapping speed and navigation accuracy will be lower, compared to Roborock, Dreame or even the [bargain basement] Lubluelu.

            • @tekisei: I would've thought having the sensor lower in the body would mean more chance for the vacuum to detect chords and stuff on the floor?

I find units with fixed Lidar (not spinning ones) does worse job at mapping and bumps into things more. I have both.

Wasn't sure about this, but after reading PCMag review on the rv30 max (https://au.pcmag.com/robot-vacuums/108989/tp-link-tapo-rv30-…) which is the exact same thing (except the rv20 is the slim version of the rv30 according to https://www.tp-link.com/au/compare/?typeId=5782&productIds=8…) I've pulled the trigger.

    Thanks OP!

    • RV20 magslim is an older model with 2000 Pa and no auto empty station

Pulled the trigger. Officeworks seems to have this available online only. Was able to pricebeat it and total was $331.55. Thanks.

    • Legend! Didn't think of that!

    • Did you have to go in store to do that? I don't see an option online.

      • You can call them up I think

        • yup i ringed them up and made payment thru phone

Got one of these during black friday sales after debating for months on which one to get, highly recommend. It's been an absolute workhorse! Only call out I will make though is that the disposable bags for the empty station are a little hard to come by, could only find them on amazon shipping from the US
