Sorry dude, got the last $41 before you posted this as well as the 1L for $51. Lucky as one of dads favourites and his bday is 2 weeks away plus one for myself.
Also got a 1L Tanqueray for $51 so pretty set for a while.

Np mate. Long time lurker and not a frequent poster, so decided to contribute to OzB comminity :). I really like this gin and always have a bottle of it at home. Enjoy it and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    • Good tip on the Tanqueray, thanks

  • What coupon? Not seeing it at this price.
    Showing $98.25

    • The listing for Amazon AU had a coupon you could apply either on the product page or the checkout to reduce the price from $54.95 to $41.

The reason you were seeing it for $98.25 was that you were looking at a listing for a third-party seller. The listing for Amazon AU is now out of stock.

        Gotcha, thanks :)

  • OOS

  • We have freaking Alcoholics on OZbargain.

It takes less than one hour for alcohol to go out of stock lol…

    • I'm guessing there were maybe 5 or 10 bottles?

    • Bar….gain 😂

    • Welcome to Christmas in the AU.

There are 5 alcohol posts in a row on the front page. If it wasn't for Genshin Impact, we'd have 6!
Did the site changed in to ozbooze?

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined! 😭

I won't buy alcohol from Amazon any more. They insist on taking a photo of you as proof of age (weird) and don't accept your licence. The photo is just taken on the random delivery drivers phone and you have no assurance or control over this. I know it might not matter one bit to (most?) People. But for those that do care this is an FYI.

Weird, what happens if you don't?

      • +1

They won't leave it. It is weird. I was surprised for somewhere like Amazon to have such an odd process.

And your experience conflicts with their own policy which was linked from this bottle shop offer. Amazon says that a driver's license is fine as well as a lot of other forms of ID - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/display.html?node…

(I'm not saying that what you experienced didn't happen, just that it's against their own policy)

          • @Pennyworth: Yeah, that's a good point, it may be my local courier (cod express) mandating this not Amazon. Wouldnt surprise me, they already only deliver to me on a thursday and sunday, and mark the package as attempted delivery to avoid coming the other days.

          • +1

@Pennyworth: That sounds more sensible and reasonable..

I'd just say send it back and I'll get a refund if the courier tried to do that. I would not accept those conditions of delivery.

Never had an issue purchasing alcohol previously with Amazon though..
