[Solved] Has Amazon AU Stopped 2-Day Shipping?

Update: Right, false alarm everyone, I was not signed in, lol

I needed some electronic stuffs, different items, tried searching for each, and the "Deliver within 2 days" burton is gone, all show 2 January as earliest delivery date.
With checked "Ships from Australia", meaning item is physically located in Amazon warehouses in AU.

Toilet paper too, "2 January". W.T.F ?

I hate Christmas.

  • I think they might be busy.
Also, Auspost has Boxing Day and the day after off, so there aren’t as many people doing deliveries.

I think so, but I still can buy in 2 days / 1 day (We have a warehouse in Northern suburbs of Mel I think)

        You're not signed in…

        • embarrassing as hell :)))

        • Who signs out of Amazon?

@MS Paint: Glad you asked :)
My normal browsing mode is signed off of everything. "Safari opens with: A new Private window" in Safari Settings.
I sometimes keep a signed-in tabs for Amazon and eBay, but I'm prone to nuke them every few days.
Add iCloud Private Relay = On (hides your IP address), and I feel much better about online privacy. Don't touch anything Google except web search, seriously.

If I need to log in to anything, it is literally one (2 to 3 :) key press, with Touch Id keyboard and iCloud Keychain (Passwords app now) as password manager. When I'm done, I just close the tab, which erases all login cookies if you are in Private mode.

            • @nuker: With those precious seconds wasted I'm guessing you never buy @hamza23 Amazon bargains do you?

              • @MS Paint: LOL
Being a nerd here, to be seconds fast, you need to refresh deals page every second all the time. I like bargains, but not that much :)
OzB email alerts are 10-20 mins lagging, btw.

Emm …. OzB RSS feed please?

                • @nuker: the rss feed still works

                  • @nubix: Yep, "https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/feed" just added it to Vienna app on Mac. But minimum auto refresh time is 5 mins there … Vienna does not feel like a real-time solution.

                    HFT for the masses!!!!

                • @nuker: Notifications for this thread.

                  • @MS Paint: Still 10-20 mins latency? This is how OzB email notifications work, the notification batch is generated every 10-20 mins. Cron job. It is not deal-posted triggered.

  • depends on your location.

I forgot to sign in, and iCloud Private Relay put me in some remote area :)
Edit: 8001 is a weird postcode … Amazon sucks at geolocation.

  • Really depends on a few factors, namely your location and stock levels at Amazon' warehouse

  • If you choose pick up from one of Amazon pick up points it's faster. I've bought a few items in the last couple weeks… ETA for delivery to my place was 7 to 10 days, but from the pick up point 1km away was still 2 days.

Feel like this is firmly a Sydney or Melbourne problem 🤔

      go on plz

Means that other areas dont have 1-2 day delivery times

          Thanks.

  • Ordered 2 things today, arriving tomorrow.

  • I created this post some time ago and I used to get next day delivery with Amazon prime which then turned into 5 day delivery and now 2-3 week delivery. It's now quicker to order stuff from Aliexpress (China) than it is to get deliveries from a premium shopping service I pay the privilege for - what a joke.
