Or spend $14 more from this deal for better gamut (99% sRGB), contrast ratio (1500:1) and response time (1ms).

There's absolutely no chance that actually has a 1ms response time in a usable overdrive mode, and 72% NTSC is 99% sRGB. There is no non-OLED monitor today that has a 1ms average response time, and few LCDs that genuinely do peak 1 or sub-1 ms, and all of them are high refresh rate TN so far.

As to whether response times are sufficient on either monitor, that would require some investigation. So far I can see through reviews that the Lenovo is ok in terms of colour calibration out of the box, but it also has a dynamic contrast feature turned on by default to generate that 1500:1 ratio, so in truth it's probably more like 900-1000:1, just like the LG.

I'm getting the impression based on limited footage that the Lenovo might be better, but obviously not to the extent of your comments.

    I need a monitor that doesn't double as a heater… Lmao.

    • I am interested how you came to this conclusion? I could not find the power consumption when used in the specs surprisingly.

      • Sorry i mean to say I am looking for a monitor that doesn't double as a heater. I have no idea about this, ideally it's heat efficient
