[VIC] $2 Pool Entry on Weekdays through January, Enrol for Free Swimming Lessons @ Carlton Baths & North Melbourne Pool

390

Throughout January 2025, casual pool entry fees at the City of Melbourne's outdoor pools will be reduced by up to 75 percent, with all outdoor pool entry fees just $2.

The $2 Summer Splash initiative will apply Monday to Friday through January at Carlton Baths and the North Melbourne Outdoor Pool

//

As part of this trial, the City of Melbourne will also provide up to 400 residents free swimming lessons through an intensive learn-to-swim program, helping participants of all ages develop essential water safety skills. Free lessons will take place at Melbourne City Baths, through January - during school holidays. There's AM/PM sessions, and two weeks to choose from.

It might be through a ballot, so I feel that belongs in competitions maybe.

    Meanwhile adjacent city of Yarra charges $8.70 for the pools or $15.20 for pool and spa/sauna - https://www.yarracity.vic.gov.au/yarra-leisure/prices-and-me… Absolute rort for council run public swimming pools.

    Also the cheapest membership for one part of their centre (gym, pools or classes) at $39.90 per fortnight would come to $1037.40 a year. Compare that to the derrimut $250-300~ deals and just the gyms, makes derrimut look stellar.
