ALDI didn't advertise these as having ANC. They probably feared being ozbargained. Just bought them. Once again ALDI proves wrong the old saying 'you get what you pay for'. These things do NOT belong in this price bracket. Ok, GO!

The review did include "Other than that, they sound great and block sounds amazingly." That might convince people to buy them from ALDI as you can always return them if they are duds (vs alternatives from AliExpress, for example).
Pretty safe bet QCY, Moondrop, Edifier, TaoTronics, Soundcore from Amazon will be much better.
I don't know why people by stuff like this from Aldi.
Amazon sell know products, with reviews and free return shipping (instead of having to go back into Aldi).
You're definitely right, but would be hard to find a similar pair of ANC earbuds for $20.
Fair enough but Aldi do have a 60 day satisfaction guarantee on top of the warranty, so it's not hard to return them next visit when buying groceries.
And an extra $20 for Edifier might feel like a lot to someone with, for example, a disability pension as their sole source of income.
Those are probably the people ALDI is targetting.

An alternative I took was the Otto from officeworks because they advertise ANC
