Flights to Japan in Late May, Early June

Hi, I'm looking to buy tickets to Japan for around the late may to early June period (24th - 6th?).

Just wondering if it would be better to just purchase the JAL airlines option right now ($1035) or wait for Boxing Day for a hopeful Jetstar deal.

It would be awesome to hear your inputs.

Thank you!

A smidge over $1k for JAL's excellent economy product is a bargain IMO.

I'd only choose Jetstar if you're flying out of Brisbane or Cairns and it's a question non-stop on Jetstar vs one stop on anyone else.

    • I paid $430 for my return tickets from bris to narita in may with Jetstar.

  • Post again on Dec 27th and let us know how you went

  • We paid about the same for Qantas for late October so I think thats not a bad deal for a full service ticket.

I'd just book the tickets. You will miss out on deals along the way that are better, but that's just how flight specials to Japan are. $1000 return is not bad and books it in so you can start planning rather than stressing about saving a few hundred bucks.

You won't regret or remember that you spent the extra money on flights, you'll just remember how great the trip was (hopefully at least) when looking back.

  • JAL is better than Jetstar any day of the week and more reliable. Pull trigger.

  • Eh just do it, JAL is awesome.
