Whts going on? Its been a month no jb/IW/tgg at colesworth??? And now wollies need everyday reward card to buy gifts cards!!!

    • Everyday rewards is free

      • Sometimes we need to buy plenty and they gonna track our spending habits which will affect our weekly minimum spend offer.

        • +1

split up your purchases. Just scan your can when purchasing the gift cards and dont scan when you buy your normal shop

        • its not compulsory to use. if you only want member deals get a free account and just use it specifically where you can get discounts

@perfectlydark: I’m guessing you aren’t old enough to remember when they promised prices wouldn’t increase for consumers once/they they ended up in a position of dominance in market share. This was back when milk bars didn’t want them open late and when butchers/fruit and veg shops didn’t want them to sell meat/fruit and veg.
Every long term promise they make ends up being broken and I guarantee you that if we all allow them to force everyone into these loyalty cards to get discounts that used to be for everyone next it’ll be only if you use their patent processor with the app then it’ll be only using their currency. It’s a slippery slope.
The world would be a better place if we were simply offered the best price and direct specials instead of gamifying everything to manipulate us to make choices based on points instead of pure value. Remember every process includes cost and therefore margin and we are paying for each of those processes to be staffed, run and make profit.
What do you value more a jar of coffee that costs $4.50 and occasionally goes on special for $4 or that same jar of coffee that costs $10 but every month is on sale at half price if you are a member and you get 50 points (your choice flybuys/WWs rewards)
Pretty cool to get a $5 discount and extra points hey?

            • @Clarky77: didnt need an essay mate. use it or dont. your gonna get screwed anyway

              • @perfectlydark: Yeah I know right, who cares ;)
If anything is important enough to do something about then I’m sure someone would do something about it, why bother!

if you're not paying for with your wallet, you're paying for it with something else

    • Its been a month no jb/IW/tgg at colesworth???

I assume "IW" is supposed to refer to Officeworks? There was a 10% off deal for Celebration gift cards at Coles that ended at the start of this month.

And now wollies need everyday reward card to buy gifts cards!!!

Woolworths has required the use of an Everyday Rewards card on upfront discounted gift cards in their stores since this September 2023 deal, so it is nothing new.

If you really do not want to use your own Everyday Rewards card(s), you could scan a temporary Everyday Rewards card and see whether that attracts the discount. There is nothing in the deal terms and conditions to say you need to use a registered Everyday Rewards card…

  • Anyone know if you can use the cinema gift cards to buy Village cinemas vouchers via their gift store.

    • why would you want to do that?

  • Anyone know of any anaconda gift card deals

Thanks OP, the gacha lords are calling for me to stock back up on google play credits.

Coles will have 10% off from Wednesday on https://choicecard.gift/

  • Would you be able to use the 10% off monthly shop you get on this transaction for having Woolworths mobile?

    • +1

The Extra Discount cannot be used for or on any smoking or tobacco products and accessories, liquor, gift cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges (including Delivery Unlimited items), bag fees, donations, Carpet Care, lottery products, pre-order kiosks, purchases on a charge account, BIG W Photos online, Apple products, gaming consoles, Playstation Portal and Playstation VR devices, rainchecks, BIG W eBay, BIG W Market, DukeLiving, pre-orders, lay-by fees, remote and bulk orders or Everyday Market from Woolworths orders, any purchases made at the Everyday Rewards Shop and any purchases made at Ampol Woolworths Metro and MetroGo stores.

  • Can I use this to pay for a whole year of Youtube Premium ?

Will it use this credit from the gift card balance before it direct debits from my bank card ?

Seems 10 percent off is once a year now days?

    • +2

presume you are talking about the google play gift card? if you pay for youtube with google play i would say yes.

      • Yes oops i meant the google play gift card. I usually pay by Visa Debit. Do I need to remove that option for it to take the money off the Google Play balance or is it like Apple it takes it off the gift card first?

So buying 2 x $200 cards is it 10 percent off each card?

        • i think it uses the google play balance first. so the yt sub is through google?
