You've never heard of Specialized Bikes? One of the top brands.
There is not one mention of “bikes” anywhere in the deal post.
This was originally correct - post since revised
Think that's his point.
It's like how you wouldn't write a deal for a Mercedes AMG and then write 'car'
No. I never heard of the brand. They’re not even sold in my city so it shouldn’t be that hard to believe not everyone would have heard of them.
Then I guess you only ride K-mart bikes at best.
Anybody who rides road bikes or does mountain biking would know of specialized.
They're sold in every state so unless you are rural, you would have a retailer in your city.
@alitadark: I checked the Specialized website for Gold Coast and there’s none.
@Saver Scott: Doubt.
I found Mikes Bikes Miami and Just Ride in the gold coast.
Also plus delivery and online store location looks like Port Melbourne VIC 3207. Also strange they have two different return addresses listed on there web site in the same suburb.

Port Melbourne, VIC 3207$110 + $8 for 2 X S-Works Mondo 2Bliss (love tyre naming conventions !) 700 X 32 seems like a pretty good deal.
My current tyre is Vittoria Next TLR, which is normally around $70-$75.
Dang, all the ones I run are OOS
Check various Specialized stores - many are also doing this promo and have different stock options. I picked up 2 Tracer Pro 42mm during the week to try on the gravel bike.
Thanks for the tip, i need the Pathfinders in the same size
I was tossing up between the two and agonising over it for a few days, decided to go for the Tracers as I was happy to give away some speed for more grip - don't race anyway.
Put 'bicycle' in title? Most people think cars.
Yes!
Do they? Why?
More people drive than cycle.
Updated. Even though specialized is obviously a bike brand.
Looking at your downvotes, I think you’ve upset a whole bunch of cyclists.
Yeah it's amusing for sure.. They just want to be like everyone else.
Turbo cotton OOS - will try some turbo rapidair
Now to go and relearn the stupid specialised specific terminology to try to track down the current version of a previous end of life tyre model…
God it's never easy in bike land
Edit: ahhhh great they remade it, but now it's been forked into the "Pro" and "S-works" versions.
Well S-works is supposed to be the penultimate version of specialised stuff… But the pro is basically the same price.
FFS
Great deal, cheers.
Guess there's a bug. It says add 2x and cart price is updated automatically, but I add 2x and it just shows the full price.
Nobody online to deal with it, so will leave this.
I know of specialised bike and accessories but TIL they sold tyres..
And shoes, helmets, bars, clothing, even cage bolts. Have for years. Tyres have also been high rates for years.
Yeah I consider those accessories as opposed to parts. Tyres fall into parts alongside brake drivetrain, chains etc to me. I'd thought tyre manufacturing is pretty specialised (pun unintended) unlike other stuff they can slap their logo on stuff and brand it theirs
I somehow read this as Buy 1 Bike and Get 1 Free and got so excited, alas it's for tyres only 😞
Thanks OP!!!
I picked up 2 × Eliminator Grid Trail 2Bliss Ready T9 for $50. Brilliant. Something similar at 99bikes would have been $45 each.Go 2 Butcher T9 for $50.
Not sure how they compare to other brands … buy now think later!Damn all the gravel tyres OOS
How do I find out what rubber my road bike has to get a spare?
Just have a look around the tyre wall, it'll have the size and the make (usually)
Mine has 700 x 25. There's just one tyre on there, for $40 for two.
All Condition Armadillo Elite Part No.: 00014-4105.
Yay or nay?
Yeah I pulled the trigger on this. At the $20 price point there is the armadillos which are discounted down, or there is the RoadSport which is wire bead (ie the most entry level tyre). So the armadillos got the pick.
@ShoeyAU: Thanks mate.
What about the tubes? I know nothing about this. New to bikes. How to find out what tubes I have and if can find a deal on them here. Or not worth it, just get the two Armadillo's for $20 each?@Lord Ra: Tubes are fairly generic. They are generally sized in an approximate range rather than needing to be precise, so for a 700x25c tyre you can generally find tubes labelled as 700C "18mm~28mm" (give or take). The valve type has two types - Presta and Schrader, but for road bikes its generally Presta.
I either buy Continental tubes when they go on sale, or just from Decathlon. But if the price is good enough then no harm getting a spare.
@ShoeyAU: It was about $10 - $15, so I decided to skip it. The $48 for the two tyres delivered is great value, so I went for that.
I have a 2024 rock hopper comp. I think the rims are tubeless ready, what tyres would I need to make it tubeless? Has anyone done something similar?
looks like some sizes not available on specialized.com are being price matched on on specializedretail.com.au - I picked up a couple of 700x32 armadillos for $39.95 delivered
nice, I went for the 25mm armadillos that are still in stock. Was clicking thru the page figuring out what I wanted - in the end I went for something on the cheaper end as spare so $40 for 2x is a steal.
Thanks OP
Bicycle tyres - if like me and never heard of this place.
