Received an email from Bupa last week:
"We have recently reviewed your Bupa Health Insurance Policy and found that you have paid more premiums than our policy permits. To resolve this, we have issued you a refund."
Got the money yesterday.
Dont get me wrong, I am not complaining. But wonder why/how this happened?
I paid via auto-renewal (Direct Debit) and Bupa sets the amount.
I realise they have this "Covid GiveBack". But their email doesnt have these words…..
Please help me to sort out the mystery…
(No, I havent contacted Bupa yet, not sure if I would. It's more fun to talk to this great OzB group)
An internal audit has highlighted the fact that they have been overcharging you. To avoid trouble with future external auditors they are refunding you and playing down the fact that their systems are useless.
How much was it? I had a similar issue with an racv boat insurance policy. I was refunded $19. I was disappointed to be honest.
