Need at least 75 inch deal, come-on Christmas sale

    • There's no stock available. They will start shipping in mid January and most probably will fill up Black Friday orders followed by others. So Christmas purchase may turn in February. Hopefully by that time C955 will be available.

  • Can we return TV if purchase online on Costco if I changed my mind?

    • For electronic goods, Costco Wholesale’s return policy for change of mind only applies for 90 days from the date the member receives the following goods: televisions, projectors, major household appliances (including refrigerators, freezers, rangehoods, cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), computers, touchscreen tablets, smart watches, cameras, aerial cameras (including drones) security cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, cellular phones and portable air conditioners.

      • If the item gets defective after more than 90 days, are Costco returns smooth?

        • +1

It may change slightly from store to store and employee to employee, but in my experience they've been very good.

  • is the S90D better?

    • +4

If you have a lot of light directly onto your TV this might potentially be better. But otherwise the S90d is a much better tv in all aspects (except Dolby vision - but superior picture quality probably makes up for that).

They’re 2 different markets. Mini-led vs oled. Not to mention >$1k price difference

    • -2

      I can’t even

    • +1

In general yes, I'd prefer OLED anytime. But considering the price, size of the TV. I will probably go bigger mini led

    • +9

Yes of course the $4300 TV is better than the $1400 TV.

    • Is a personal home theatre better?

  • Come on 75"

  • Would 65C755 be considered a deal at $1149. I know it's down to 1050~ at other stores earlier.. but this also includes delivery and 90 day change of mind return

    • This is also an 855, not 755.

      • 855 is 1399, I was more considering 755 at cheaper price at costco

  • Anyone know about the stock situation of the 85" model? Seems to be OOS everywhere

    • Harvey Norman told me it's discontinued now as the new models will be out next year

  • +1

Thoughts on c855 vs c755 looking at 65 inch only. Bright room thanks guys

    • +2

855 is brighter, better contrast and better blacks.

      • Thank you 🙏 not sure if these will go down further during boxing day but so tempted

        • Possibly have price protection from your credit card? or just don’t worry about the $50-100 that it would even possibly reduce by.

Must not have seen the HN gift card deal myself otherwise definitely would have purchased, going to see if JB match costco or throw in anything else with it.

HDTV Vincent just gave this tv a best value award.

Has anyone noticed how hot these get? Looking at them in JB hi fi and someone pointed out that the back of them can almost burn you. All of the C8 units were the same. It's this normal?

    • +3

Depends i guess on your use scenario, in store they're generally running tv's in high brightness and high dynamic picture settings to make them appear more vivid given the bright lights there. Add on whatever Interpolated frames features and maybe a few other settings then yeah it can get hot. If you're planning on using it in a bedroom, shouldn't be running as hot if you dim it or use power saving modes to match your space size. Living room space you'll be alright once calibrated unless you're viewing it in a bright room with large windows.

    • +1

It's listed as max 350 watts, which more or less means that they will produce up to 350 watts of heat (maybe 300 in practice, as the sound will be about 50w and much of that escapes). But that's with HDR on and brightness turned to max and the sound cranked as high as it goes.

I like a dark room and a softly lit TV, and have my current Hisense backlight set to 7% brightness. With similar settings, HDR turned off and sound being diverted to my amp and speakers, I would expect the TV to be in the ballpark of 120 watts and barely get warm.

  • Great deal OP, thanks.

Showing out of stock / unavailable for delivery in metro WA on checkout unfortunately.

        Lol

No stock of the 75C755 either in case anyone else is interested

  • Does Costco stock the 85 inch C855?

  • JB can do for $1580. They won't price match even when asked to include membership price to total. Anyone know the Costco stock in Victoria ? Might be worth signing up.

    • Costco are pretty good at stock checking if you give the store a call on the phone.

  • Trying to choose between this, the more premium 65 inch C855 versus the same price less premium 75 inch C755 at Costco.
Size versus Quality - which wins?? Opinions??

    • Size over quality for tv if you have the room for it.

    • +1

      Size vs Quality

Haha. It's personal preference & subjective…likely driven by 'environmental' factors.

TV 'science' includes what are you trying to achieve, what content will you be watching, viewing distance etc

      TCL 65" C855: HODL…https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16022124/redir

  • How C855 performs in dark-themed movies. Does it preserve shadow details or does it suffer from black crush?

  • So I just received my TV from this deal, I was confident I ordered the 65" 855, but my order history says 75" 755. My browsing history shows no sign of going to the 75" page so unsure how that got mixed up, but I should have checked my cart better I guess :|

Anyone want to swap brand new in box delivered today 75" with your brand new 65"?
Looks like both are OOS now at costco so would rather not return it just yet.

    Any other thoughts?
