You can’t, to use the Citi 5% code you have to click through their unique link and there’s no way to double dip I’ve tried both iOS app and pc browser extension, no luck
Worth noting that the T&Cs state that cashback is calculated on the purchase price minus taxes and fees. Taxes and fees comprise a large chunk of an airfare… it's possible that the cashback will be lower than you expect.
I just checked about 50% is taxes and fees. So the cashback is 6.5%
dodgy.
It's better to check other websites before you go with Trip.com because their pricing is very similar (sometimes more expensive) to the ones from the airlines themselves.
it depends on whether the ticket is full price or on promotion. Ticket price before taxes/fees can be as low as $0.
Also excludes kids and infants tickets
Showing 12% my side?
I subscribed to shopback plus membership. You're correct—it's 12% for non-members. I'll update the deal description accordingly.
any deal for Perth?
These deals are always shite. I booked $1k over 2 flights and got a whopping $13 cashback tracked lmao
Works for intl flights?
Yes, no reason why not
yes - I currently got mined tracked for my trip next week.
So would this trip option mean that I would get over $1250 cashback?
Yes. The cashback amount is calculated based on the fare only (without taxes and booking fee). But be aware that there may be a cap imposed by shopback. Check T&C before hitting the buy button.
is this website dodgy? has anyone used it
Ive used them with no issues.
I think its the same as any other reseller. If you know you wont need to make changes and there is no complexity in what your doing then they are fine. People seem to come into problems when they try to change after initially purchasing, even with the added 'insurance' you can pay extra for. They are fine. As good as other, e.g. Booking, Agoda, Expedia, etc
Trip.com manipulates the prices, and make the booking fee higher than the original prices, then apply some cashback. I booked over Virgin website cheaper than what Trip.com quoted for the same flights.
All booking sites do.
Furthermore, some air companies do too.
also can stack with citi card 5% cashback
