Looks like a good quality gravel bike for under $2000. Sadly I can't afford this but I thought I would post for other people.
Size 56 and 58 available.
I think it's $100 delivery or free pickup if a store near you has stock.

And life time warranty on the frame too
2x chainrings are not necessarily better.
1x setup is actually more expensive and provide similar range to a 2x setup (just a bit more jump between gears).
In the example above, the Trek has 30-46T chainrings with 11-34T cassette, the Reid has a 40T chaining and 11-42 cassette. The Trek has a much easier climbing gear and a much faster top gear, at 80 RPM Reid is 38km/h, Trek is 45km/h. The 2x in this instance is a much better option.
gravel bike is not about speed and also about control during climbs and slightly technical terrains.
that is also why expensive MTBs and gravel bikes dont have 2x setup.
Agree; 1x has no cross-chaining, and fewer parts to maintain.
less parts with similar GRX components will be lighter too.
1x is alllll cross chaining.
Trek are also known as the best alloy frames of all the big manufacturers.
Rack and fender mounts too would make a good commuter
Even giant? I was told they're made in South Korea and also have lifetime warranty.
Pretty sure Giant bikes are made in Taiwan (numba won)
The other benefit of the Trek over the Reid is that you won't be riding around with a bike that says Reid on it.
Thanks, had been looking some something like this in the ~2K price range.
Really good deal for a gravel bike
Unfortunately the white is sold out!
Considering what you get, this is a great deal. Nothing wrong with alloy, saves money to spend where it counts; wheels.
Too bad only big sizes available
Picked this one up for 1800 thanks to Zips 10% cashback gift cards
explain?

Bought $2000 worth of gift card from this promo, got $200 cashback
I ride the SL5 (carbon version of this bike) and love it. The aluminium one is great for this price. Jump on it!
i also ride the SL5. good bike
🤦 Bought a Canyon last night……
Can you cancel the order?
Some really good deals going on Canyon right now - mate bought a Speedmax last night at a very good price.
Still a good choice - excellent bikes either way. Grizl or Grail?
Grx600 mechanical groupset plus trek construction makes this a great value bike. If it was in 61 i would strongly considet this!
I didn't even know a gravel bicycle was a thing….
Same
They are essentially a roadbike frame (or, an endurance road bike frame) with some specialised features for off road use, such as flared handlebars, capacity for larger tyres, and gearing more suitable for hard climbs.
all of their features (most notably the relaxed geometry and bigger tires) also make them perfect as a 'do everything' bike for folks who prefer drop bars and like to Go Fast (tm).
it'd be a no brainer between a decent gravel bike and a flat bar hybrid for me if i was a new buyer.
Just a endurance style road bike with some fancy gearing.
Main thing for a gravel bike is wider tyre clearance, and possible a clutched rear derailleur if you do hard / bumpy stuff.
Biggest trend in bicycle manufacturing currently.
Yeah, bikes seem like one of those areas where someone in marketing invents a new label and then everyone in the hobby feverishly adopts it as though everyone should know what it is. It's a hardtail gravel sproingback grunka trailblorger with semi-automatic shinbanglers and a dropper flume, obviously that tells you all you need to know… back in my day there were road bikes and mountain bikes and BMXes and that's the way we liked it! waves walking stick in the air
These are basically 90s MTB
OP do you know what the earlier deals were? I'm chasing some RSL wheels but they are way too expensive at RRP!
Can see them on treks Facebook. Looks like their rally and circuit helmets, some cruiser bike and other clothes/accessories so far.
Have you considered made to order wheels from China? I got mine done from Light Bicycle, ended up getting a set of wheels that are cheaper, lighter, deeper, have better hubs and better spokes than what Trek offered.
This is the way - Light Bicycle are great, and I've also had wheels from FarSports and XMCarbonSpeed that have been excellent too.
Thank you - I almost pulled the trigger on some Winspace D67s during Black Friday but held off. I'll take another look into it.
Anyone planning on buying this, just know you might get a praxis alba crankset, instead of the GRX
why is this?
It's a 2022/2023 model and when they sent it over to Australia, there was a shortage of Shimano parts.
There's a disclaimer in the site that says Trek have the right to swap parts when needed. Your local Trek shop might help you swap it with a GRX, I decided to keep the praxis as it costs more than GRX.
Specs list a GRX crankset, but also the disclaimer they may change parts depending on availability etc.
Praxis make quality stuff, but makes replacement chainrings slightly harder/more expensive maybe.
Trek ADs 12 days deals. Still waiting for any deal for entry level mountains bike for kids.
What pedals?
Doesn't come with any
Buying a good brand like this, you're expected to want to add your own pedals. Generally you'd add Shimano SPD pedals if you're gonna spend time off sealed roads, or if you don't wanna wear clipless shoes you'd put toeclips on.
This is a lovely bike in my size (58). I'm so tempted, but I already have a Trek Domane which is a road bike that also fancies itself on gravel. Really great deal, OP.
What were the first 3 days of deals?
The only beef I have is the carbon steerer. I just think its pointless having the security of alloy but then using carbon on one of the most breakable parts of the bike. I know its to cut down on road chatter but it already has a carbon fork and I just don't think its warranted.
Stonking good bike for the money otherwise. The clearance on the forks to allow 38mm tyres is awesome, would love to be able to do that on my bike.
Have you seen many forks where steerers have actually failed, rather than the steerer/crown junction letting go?
I've seen more than a few broken carbon forks, and not one of them failed along the actual steerer tube. Bonded in aluminium steerers? Seen those let go at the crown.
Shame there is nothing bigger than 58 :(
24 hole rims. Not great for heavier riders, like me. Looks good, but I'll pass.
Very expensive must be good to use for Uber eats then.
Work equipment expense
Cheers OP, bought one. Nobody tell my wife.
Not too bad, only $100 more expensive than the Reid Granite 4.0 and comes with better wheels, better range of gears thanks to the 2x chainrings. Also, if you have any issues with it, Trek will fix it unlike Reid. Quite light for an aluminium gravel bike too.
