I find that if you just reach out to these guys via chat or email, they'll be able to beat any other price online. I also find that their chat is NO-WHERE near as good as email.. The staff manning the "chat" are…. less than productive… in my opinion.

I don't get the pricing of the mini series, now with the neo massively undercutting them all

      Obstacle avoidance and camera quality

        And battery life.

      • +1

mini (non-pro) has no obstacle avoidance

Ok, that's one thing. The advantages of a Mini 3 (non-pro) over the Neo are the camera sensor, the flight time (battery) the wind resistance, flight distance (not that it matters in Australia), and you can have an SD card.

The Neo, a big advantage is you don't need a controller, or you can use your phone for basics. It's also almost crash proof.

Ultimately, they're aimed at different markets.

have you seen the neo video quality? it's nothing in comparison to the mini, seems worse than the original which had a 2K sensor.
This is because there's no gimbal on the neo, so DJI is cropping in on the 4K sensor for horizon levelling and stabilization.
Also a Neo Fly more kit with a remote and batteries like this deal is over $500, so not a big difference in price for a huge difference in image quality.

I am however very excited for a neo v2, hoping to see a 8K sensor like the HoverAir Pro drones, which is a lot more forgiving when cropping in digitally.

I agree that they are expensive and hopefully reduced soon. However, the mini 3 has a better battery, flight time, and camera quality.
Neo would be great for selfies (target tracking) and FPV, whilst the mini 3 and 4 is better for cinematic shots.

Go for mini 4 pro … Experience is worth the $$

  • Do the batteries ever go on sale? Thinking of getting a few more for my M4p

  • if anyone has ebay+ i managed to get the Mini 3 fly more combo with the RC remote (the one with a screen) for $768 from good guys ebay, with a $70 coupon which i assume is a plus thing (just saw it listed in my account)
