Morning @kojihama thank you so much for what sounds like a fantastic recent order, glad you don't need to worry about running out of the good stuff :)

Wonderful to see such a terrific vote of confidence, it really does mean so much!

p.s. if this deal looks like a winner to you, don't forget you can delay dispatch as far into the future as the last week of February 2025 :)

  • Peru Chanchamayo Any good for milk based espresso a/ coffee?

    • It's sure it, simply delicious for both milk based and black coffees :)

    • Yeah it goes well, we've bought a couple of bags, really tasty.

Great coffee company. Support local business!

How wonderful to see, thank you so much for that terrific compliment!!!

Have to agree, and they don't annoy you constantly with pointless emails, which is such a pleasant contrast to literally every other merchant who gets your email address. Responsive rep here too, the posts are always super positive.

      • +1

The only emails I get are the ones that are posted here as deals, which I always keep an eye out for anyway.

If only every email subscription only sent me actual good deals, I'd sign up to more email lists.

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Marketers suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced."

  • Bought from them last time. Good coffee. Good price. Highly recommend.

    • Fantastic to hear, thank you so much for your recent order and terrific vote of confidence, it's truly appreciated!!!

  • Any deal on Brazil São Paulo Single Origin?

    • Never hurts to ask!

We tend to focus on one deal at a time, right now this the deal we're focusing on. Our Brazil Single Origin is currently available at regular price, perhaps you could get a small bag to tie you over so you don't run out of the good stuff, then next time it's featured in a deal you can make the most of the special pricing by utilising our unique scheduled/delayed dispatch feature :)

  • Is it possible to mix this with the decaf to create a half-strength version without significantly altering the taste?

    • Morning @Natsky nice question!

We actually have blends in the category currently available, check out our Half Strength Full Flavour range on our site. There is a flavour change, but familiarity of the caf coffee flavours remain notably present, essentially if you take the flavours of the caf and enhance them with sweet malt chocolate, that's the flavour difference you'll notice :)

  • Any chance to have the half strength of the Peru SO on special too? otherwise, is it possible to create a similar taste profile by mixing 2 bags together?

    • +1

Hey @kuma right now these are the only coffees featured in this deal. We do have the Half Strength Full Flavour Peru currently available at regular price or as you've mentioned you could simply buy a bag of each type and blend them together yourself which would create a similar result :)

  • The SWP decaf is one of my favourites for filter! Sadly I've got 3kg of PNG coffee coming from you guys, and it's gonna take me a while to get through that…

Regardless, highly recommend the SWP decaf, regardless of caffeine content. It just…. tastes really good, at least for me. For reference, I've done the following with it:
    - Hario Switch, 18g:300g, 95°C, full immersion for 2-ish minutes before draining
    - Hario Mugen, 18g:300g, 95°C, pour all the water within 15 seconds and just let it drain for however long it takes
    - AeroPress, 12g:250g, 95°C, Hoffman method

    • What grinder and setting?

    • I'm using an 1zpresso J-Max, around 230 clicks for the Switch, around 200 clicks for the Mugen and AeroPress.

  • Courier's Please is a disgrace of a courier. I'd recommend to any shoppers to pay the extra dollar for Australia Post. Courier's please has about a 75% hitrate with my family, where 1/4 times they don't ring the doorbell and someone is home and they drop it at a parcel point (not particularly close to home; there would be around 4-6 AusPosts between here and where they leave the package).

They don't even do redelivery, which I thought was the whole point of private couriers.

Hey @freedomj I can sense your frustration and I know it can be disappointing when deliveries don't go to plan!

You're correct that people can specifically select a delivery company with us if they have a preference.

Just a few quick things to clarify for future reference:
      1) Both Australia Post and Couriers Please won't necessarily ring your door bell unless it's specifically stated in your delivery instructions (there's a section on our cart page to leave instructions). I know it may seem like a given they would, but they're under high volume delivery volume targets, so speed is key for them to stay in their employers good books
      2) If your parcel is sent via Couriers Please and dropped to a parcel point it will not be dropped to a local Post Office and more likely a Newsagency or similar store as Australia Post is a competitor of Couriers Please
      3) Couriers Please do redelivery attempts in certain instances, it just appears in your experience they opt to take orders to a collection point for that franchisees jurisdiction
      4) If you ever have a future issue you're welcome to send us a reply email to your tracking info email
      5) Overall Australia Post and Couriers Please are on par with one another, on average 0.8% of orders sent by either carriers have an issue, be it a delivery issue, parcel damaged or lost
      6) If there's online orders your get from other companies where you cannot select the carrier and Couriers Please is the only option you can simply send an email to [email protected] writing "URGENT (listing the tracking number)" in the subject line. I wouldn't recommend trying to contact them another way, this email is the best bet and it's not a bet they advertise either :)

    • Depends on your area and the contractor. I had a 10 minute chat with the couriers please guy this afternoon. Never have I ever had a pleasant conversation while getting parcels delivered. Also arrived when it was meant to.

I don't think this is a legitimate neg. once a month is how often people typically need coffee, and since it's different varieties, people wait a few months for their favourite.

the quality of the coffee is remarkable for the cost paid, at least for their single origins.

I suspect ozbargain clearing stock is a part of their business model; so they can buy shipments larger than they know they can clear at full price and then clear the remainder through posting here. If they are making profit; it's a win-win.

      • -6

The beans I've checked are more frequent then that. The ones from this deal - Decaf is once a month checking a couple months back. Peru is 1.5.

I'm not knocking the product, it's well priced coffee (considering it's always on sale). But imo it's becoming spam on here as it's not a deal (considering it's always on sale)

    • +1

It's cheaper than usual and it only lasts a few days a month, it's a deal.

If you took out all the regularly occurring deals on OzBargain there wouldn't be much left. Ebay 15% off, X% off giftcards, the weekly half price deals from supermarkets, it's nice to have a reminder of when these deals are actually available.

The rules around negative votes are clear and your post doesn't hit any of them. I haven't found good quality coffee that's cheaper (always subjective, I know some people prefer the Airjo or Inglewood) and they're really well known on this forum for being prompt on replying to anything.

    • I think the prices are more than fair for what you're getting. Certainly far better value than supermarket 'boutique' coffee. That the offers are frequent does not change that.

It probably means they bought bigger batches of green beans than usual and are able to sell off the surplus to us at a discount.

  • Hey Tom I emailed asking if I could get my delivery for next week sent early as I’m running low but have not heard back. Can’t go without the good stuff.

    • Just received and replied to the email you sent yesterday :)

Fantastic roasters, had couple cuppas today! Loving it. Keep it coming

  • Hi, what is your lightest roast? I'm looking for something for V60 and also espresso (and the occasional piccolo).

    Thanks.

  • Hi there, we've emailed twice now. Beans were sent on 3rd Dec and still has not arrived yet.

    • Hey @SydneySurfer are you positive you've messaged the right coffee company? I've looked up your email in our inbox and can't see any recent emails. Furthermore, I've searched Shopify with your email and also shipping address and there was no order dispatched to you this month. All I can see is an order you placed towards the end of November with a selected dispatch date of 27/02/2025. Could you please simply reply to your last message with a "?"

  • Hi there, the order I'm talking about is a combined order with a friend I introduced to Lime Blue. She and I combined our ordered and used her account sending to her address. She'd been wanting some decaf, so I told her about Lime Blue, so she placed her first order, and is still waiting. I told her you're usually really quick so something must have gone wrong. I'll message you and tell her to send another email with '?'.

    • Really appreciate you helping to spread the word about us, it does mean a lot!

Got the "?" to put yesterday's email to the top of the inbox, hopefully all sorted now :)

  • Hi Tom,
Great coffees and am currently enjoying a bag of the Peru.
Have sent an email as have too much coffee at the moment and unable to cancel an upcoming order since self service options aren't coming up for the order. Order #72796.

Would you be able to help cancel on your end?
    Thanks

Hey @wataripoff no stress, I've replied to this morning's email and you're all set now!

Please know we're a relatively small company and it's the busiest time of the year for us, so we're not always as quick to respond as we'd like… we're a work in progress. However, as long as you've sent a request at least 24 hours before dispatch (earlier the better), even if we don't respond in time we'll still sort it for you. For example, if your dispatch was scheduled for Monday and not Thursday and we didn't get to your email until after your coffee was dispatched then we'd cancel the order/sort the needed refund and the coffee already dispatched would simply be a gift from us :)
