    Love mine!

it's at this price so often it might as well be it's RRP

    • +2

Ehhh at least it actually goes up and down in price. Unlike AldiRRP deals.

      • +3

So it's more like colesworth weekly deals

      • +9

jack the price and increase coupon discount, or lower price and decrease coupon discount.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/wuben-f5

if you look at the history sometimes the discount is 20% sometimes 30% but in the end the price is always $35.19

Dunno what you're trying to prove because I didn't disagree. It goes up and down. Aldi deals get posted at full RRP.

Just wanted to say I’m very impressed with this light, the area it lit up as well as the duration was impressive. Woke up the following morning to see it was still on!

    • Yep, these are good. Can act as a USB battery pack, too.

  • +6

Wuben is back with this light that works really well

What do you mean its back? It never left? It's basically always $35.19 with some discount somehow.
This nearly needs to be just a long running deal to be honest.

I've got 3 right next to me. That's enough but I wouldn't want less. Perfect light. Particularly enjoy them as a makeshift night light on the lowest setting. Feels like I get almost 10 days+ out of them before they need a super quick recharge. The quality, hook, magnet, stand, tripod thread, ability to charge other stuff, variations in warmth. 10/10.

Want to add to the chorus that this is a long lasting good light. When i take apart PC's I can just stick it to the top of a desk and it illuminates the whole workspace. No more holding torches in my mouth.

    • You can get head torches, they illuminate whatever you are looking at. Better than a mounted or handheld torch for such tasks.

      • Sure, but under a desk I usually bump the noggin a lot. I generally prefer workspace lights.

$30 under and I will try. $35 is the lowest from what I eye.

    • +1

      It’s $5 man

  • I have a 3 room tent and need new lights for each room, would one of these be bright enough for each room?

    • +1

More than enough…these are super powerful but you can use the lowest setting

    • Look at the Hardkorr U-Lite 4 packs, much smaller but still produce a good amount of light, and on special they'll be cheaper than 3 of these.

  • +1

why do people stan this so hard, it's just a light?

    • +3

It's genuinely very well designed. Very rare to find a well designed product these days.

If you don't need a light then you don't need one. If you do need a light, I'd recommend buying one of these.

    • +1

The difference between an average light and a great light can be pretty big. I guess you're not a camper.

To have a relatively cheap device that just does everything well means it will be popular. The shape, size and functionality all just make this a super versatile item to own.
      - great battery life
      - solid construction
      - 3 different warmth settings
      - ample brightness

Having used oodles of different lights over the years in all sorts of situations - this is the one I'd recommend to anyone as the best option I'm aware to cover all bases.

  • Thanks bought one to try.

Are there any good usb-c lanterns with a red light option?

    • Fenix CL28R, Sofirn LT1s

      • thanks Tim .. i already have the Sofirn .. the Fenix is expensive and the red light looks a bit dull at only 9 lumens. I'll keep looking, not too urgent. I bought this Wuben F5 to check it out (without the red light).

  • Can you replace the battery?

    • I have one of these, afaik you can't replace the battery.

    • +2

Yes, if you crack it open, it uses 2 18650 cells, but you may need a soldering iron.

I bought this light, think it’s a great quality light, but also think. $35 is on the high side when compared to the super cheap auto $10-15 tent/magnet lights I also have which while less robust or solid - pretty much do exactly the same thing. I bought thinking it would also be awesome doubling as a power bank but learned quickly if you use it for recharging anything there’s not much power left for use as a light, so I think the power bank function is really only an emergency saviour more than a usable feature (if you need the light function on the same trip)

  • +1

I bought it for the same price in May.

  • I have this light and can recommend. Well built and impressive light function.

Question - it has a tripod screw hole but I'm a bit clueless on this. Does this mean it will fit any tripod (ie. do all tripods have a universal fixing point)? Want to buy a tripod so I can use it with outdoor barbecuing in an area where I have not light or power.

    • +1

Yes, there's a universal tripod standard screw size. Any cheap camera one will work, it is how I use mine.

  • +1

If you want high CRI, RGB get this https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B096S54W9Y/ref=ppx_od_d… when it goes below $20. Very good for video, camping, night light and playing cops and robbers. It has tripod mount, 1/4 screw mount and magnet on the back too.

    • Theres also bluetooth options if you want to get a few and link them or control remotely. I use these ones

  • Not quite the standard use case but might these work for under kitchen bench/wardrobe type lighting?

If not - any suggestions, especially ones that take AA/AAA batteries (have so many eneloops/LADDA sitting unused)?

  • Showing $50.27 now

    • +1

Did you redeem the coupon underneath?

      • It wasn't showing before for me but has now.

        Thanks

        • Must have gone out of stock and they renewed it.

  • How long do the batteries last?

  • Great product. The magnet on the back is really handy. Have stuck to metal roofs in shelter sheds for temporary and bright lighting over dinner.
