We do have the tasting notes but if we advertise them, then the winery will be too easy to find.
The name of the winery is printed on the box though.
Cheers
If not happy with the wine, give us a call and we will collect the 11 remaining bottles and still refund the full dozen.
Cheers
I was too late to the party. If anyone returns any, Im keen on these cleanskins.
If it's the previous $120RRP wine from Skye, it's the Triple Creek Single Vineyard Shiraz

Great deal, but unfortunately will pass as don't like corks.
Sorry, is it any real disadvantage with corks as closure?
I always thought that cork is better.
There can be a lot of variability across bottles with cork. We've had wines at work that were the same vintage and under screwcap and cork and there noticeable differences between them. The cork had not held up as well and these were only 6 years old. Now this isn't always true but is a risk with cork.
Nope, cork is almost universally worse and comes with the annoyance of opening. But they're still associated with "quality" wine, so they tend to sell better in some overseas markets.
Some people still believe cork is better for aging, but a good screw cap these days can control the amount of airflow very precisely and are way better for aging, and for the average bottle of wine has no risk of cork taint or the cork disintegrating.
There might be a question of how well a screw cap will hold up over 100 years vs a very high quality cork specifically chosen for the wine, but that's probably not an issue you'll ever face with a wine bought off ozbargain.
For showmanship and swankiness, cork is better. Especially when i can take out my fancy schmancy opener.
But for quaffers like this, screwcap all the way.
I prefer screwcap out of convenience but for whatever reason most of my better wines are under cork.
Thanks @Skye Cellars - I already bought from before when you sent out the SMS :)
I'm very tempted. Is this delivered by Aust Post? Quite literally every single Aust Post parcel that should be destined for our apartment simply gets taken to the post office, with no attempt at delivery. So frustrating lining up for 20 mins at the post office to collect, when every single Amazon package gets delivered successfully.
Any chance this is delivered by courier? @Skye Cellars
It depends on where you are located.
All interstate orders go via Aust Post.
Adelaide Metro we use our own vans
And regional SA we use Chochranes
@Skye Cellars why no shipping to your neighboring customers in the NT?
Because of this: https://dth.nt.gov.au/publications/racing-gaming-and-licensi…

OK i bit
Is it really 15.5% alc?
Out of curiosity, why aren't they labelled?
As far as I know - because they are meant for export, but the export sale fell through. The winery doesn't want to have its name associated with deep discounts, but they still want to sell it off.
@thisisscotts That's very accurate.
Cheers
Why no shipping to Tassie?
OK I gave it a go and a +1.
How long would these be ok to store for?
Up to 10 years.
I hate wine. This website (ozbargain) sucks. I bought it.
lol
Thanks. Bought 2.
Damn, did I miss out OP? All gone? :(
Out of stock
thanks op!
Any more coming OP?
Oh no all gone now ?
The winery has a small amount left. We just put the deal back on. Hurry. Cheers
Grabbed one, thanks OP:)
Got one, looking forward to trying it out!
Blargh, had one in cart, sold out while I was required to register…
Same here. I'm a Skye member. But had to track down my password. Bummed. Oh well.
Ahh just missed out
Sorry everyone. Now it sold out for good. Cheers
Bitten, thanks
Me too, I've made some real big mistakes but you make the worst one look fine
I should've known it was strange you only come out at night
I used to think I was smart but you made me look so naive
The way you sold me for parts as you sunk your teeth into me, oh
Bloodsucker, fame(profanity)er, bleedin' me dry, like a goddamn vampire
Olivia Rodrigo?
It seems that the only other place this wine is sold is from the vineyard directly. If you someone searched for this bottle online they would also see you offering it at the 85% discount.
Who on earth would purchase directly from the vineyard when your website is the link directly after? It makes it seem as though the RRP is inflated.
A different point of view… would you rather buy $10/bottle wine from BWS/Dans, or take a gamble on $10/bottle of wine from a vineyard that exports it to people who are willing to pay more (perhaps $120/bottle)?
I've bought from Skye before once, and Dozen Deals before once. Both times, their wines were absolutely worth it for the $10/bottle (or less) price I was paying.
Food for thought…
@Skye Cellars any tasting notes for this Shiraz?
