For many JB will be better as one can pay with discounted giftcards.
You dont need to pay 60 bucks extra for membership for starters?
You've got it the wrong way round
Dont I have to pay to enter and shop at costco?
@DMFD: Bang1 was asking "Why would I buy this at Costco instead of JB" and you replied "Because you don't need to pay $60 for membership" implying that JB requires a membership and Costco doesn't
If Bang1 was saying "Is there any reason to get at JB instead of Costco?" you'd be right@theguyrules: I see.
The Costco return policy is unmatched
Wonder if you can price match with JB, then apply the 10% discount code?
No go for me. Anyone else had luck via chat?
Been waiting to chat for a couple hours, should it take this long?? Will report back.
Nope, I got through almost straight away.
@somethingguy: Just got through now. Will update this comment when I find out…
Edit: Yeah nah. They won't match Costco. They gave me best price of $196.02. Then said I wouldn't be able to use my 10% on top of that anyway. Waste of time.
I have tried to price match with Costco at JB previously and they refused to do so.
They are asking to apply 10% off perks code to get for $178
How does this differ from QuietComfort 45?
From PC Mag: The $349 Bose QuietComfort Headphones replace the $329 QuietComfort 45 in the company's lineup, bringing a revamped sound signature with richer bass and slightly less sculpted highs. Otherwise, the QC Headphones offer the same Bluetooth connectivity, slick companion app, and top-notch active noise cancellation (ANC) as their predecessors.
Nerfed Bluetooth vs Bose QC Ultra.
Not sure if you can use custom firmware to update functionality like you can with ASUS modems via Merlin…
I’m pretty sure if you are a good hacker you can hack the firmware to upgrade Bluetooth from 5.1 to 5.3 etc.. and add aptx codecs
Is this the model that can't disable noice cancellation?
No.

What is Aware Mode?
Aware Mode turns on the external microphones of QuietComfort Headphones and feeds ambient sounds into the headphones, enabling awareness of the sounds in the environment, such as cars and emergency vehicles, while still enjoying audio content.
The Correct answer is you technically can not disable Noise cancellation (using headphones with passive cancellation only)
Thought so. So its either noise cancelling mode or aware mode.
I guess you could use the headphones via AUX while turned off to bypass the processing? You can reduce the NC cancellation level to a minimum level, in app profile however it is still on.
Just to let you know, the ticket price I saw at jb hifi for this model is $499. (now that is expensive) I think they forgot to remove it from the box.
it is not about how expensive it is somewhere else. Just not worth it, just like iPhone is way overpriced.
Then OZbargain is not for someone like you, go back to your local Kmart or Bigw for ‘Low price for life’ items
@li1123k: I can easily afford this, just not interested in this. I now use aftershokz bone conduction for both running and swimming, sound quality underwater is amazing. Nothing new about these Bose.
You can have similar from Aliexpress for less than 100, I can't even tell the difference. I have airpods, bose, sony, etc. so many of them sitting around, I don't even buy headphones any more.
Must be great not being able to tell the difference. Saves so much money.
Sorry, there is insufficient stock for your cart.
Looks to be sold out.
Are these available in store?
still jb deal is better after 10% discount
QC45 vs SC - there are apparently some differences in sound, battery life, and weight, but not enough to stress about -

Any reason to go with this than the jb hifi deal? Delivery I understand to save delivery cost but if you can click and collect.
