G915 X Lightspeed TKL is also available in white for $273. I don't know what's $74 better about it.

USB-C and Double-Shot PBT keycaps. Keys also now use a cross style stem instead of the hook type the old g915 uses (Id imagine much the same as the mx mechanical/mini)

I've had a G915 as my daily at home for a LOOOOOONG time and its still working fine. Keys are very glossy/wearing now though, where the newer style prob wouldn't be. Could be worth the extra for the g915x in terms of longterm wear.

    • I've been using Taihao's which are double shot PBTs, and they never got shiny (had them for about 8 years???). So this whole time I thought PBTs can't turn shiny lol.

      • No I meant the original g915 didnt have double-shot PBT's. I have the original g915 (which is going glossy etc, pretty sure they are shine through ABS keycaps).

The whole thing I was getting at was that its likely worth the extra for the newer g915x for USBC and doubleshot PBT keycaps.

        • Oh I see! I mean it's worth getting it just for the cross stems alone I feel. The other stuff is just a bonus.

  • I've had this and now have G515 tkl.

I much prefer G515 tkl. Better experience overall.

These are very bad quality keyboards, esp for that price. I had mine for about 6 months and the key caps paint wore, the rgb would shine through but it would just be a scratchy blob and not letters. Logitech would not replace it as they kept saying they had no stock trying to push some lower priced combo as a replacement, eventually got a refund(after months). The only good thing about this keyboard is the good wireless response.

Agree with this. I had to return mine under warranty (got a refund) after a couple months because a couple of the RGB lights were failing. Of the red / green / blue diodes, one of the colours died in two keys. This limited the colours that key could then do.

  • Damn.. For a second I thought it was the logitech keyboard case for an ipad.

They seem to never go on special

  • I have this keyboard and love it but also hate it.

Let me explain, typing on this thing is amazing, yes the keys rattle (I put a tiny double sided tape under each key) a bit but still amazing nevertheless. I work from home and I use this keyboard as my daily driver.
Gaming, is also on point, have had this keyboard for about 3 or so years and love playing games using it.
I hate it because the key caps easily flake which doesn't effect the usability of the keyboard but it does to start to look like shit. my WASD look horrible, can't see the letters anymore.

Kinda like this but basically all my letter keys are flaking around the edges - https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit…

For $200, I would definitely recommend it, if it was more, I would say stay away.

  • Don't recommend it. Very mushy. Volume wheel stopped working properly within a year. Keys flaking.

The only thing I liked was being able to switch bluetooth/wireless, but other keyboards offer that now

$200 can get you a crazy good mechanical keyboard from an offbrand maker.

    • 100%. Wasn't until I got a bit adventurous with Taobao and Google Translator that I realised what I was missing.

  • I have this keyboard in white and I love it. I bought a second one for work then broke one of the USB dongles…. Anyone know if it is possible to just buy the dongle for these since the standard Logitech ones will not pair, I believe it is because it needs to have "Lightspeed"

  • At this price might as well as buy a hall-effect board…

    • Yes I was tempted to get the Logitech because it's so visually appealing but after waiting ages for the wootong two HD, I can't go back. So reliable, so quick and individually configurable keys with replaceable magnetic hall effect switches!

  • Is it just the wireless version that has flakey keys etc?
I would've thought the wired and wireless would use the same materials, but maybe not.

I've got the wired one and use it 7 days a week for the past 2-3 years and there is zero signs of wear on it at all.

EDIT: Ahh, the wired is G5x series and the wireless is G9x series - so, mine is the G515 TKL which has been really reliable.
