    X20 is dual band, X68 is tri band. The x68 uses the 3rd band as a dedicated wireless backhaul on the X68.

    The TP-Link Deco X68 uses a third 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 band to keep the mesh speeds high even with multiple connected devices. With a tri-band AX3600 connection, this mesh kit has all of the speed of an AX1800 router with no mesh compromises.

      Would it still be a good purchase (TP-Link Deco AX1800 X20) if my requirement is just for Home use with max 250 Mbps line & probable usage of around 8-10 wifi devices on a 260 Sqm - 2 story building?
      Planning to buy it for $299 ( 3 pack ) in a deal…

        It would work fine, but if you are connecting the 2nd and 3rd node via wireless, you may get some slowness if something else is using up bandwidth, whereas with the X68 you should get max speed regardless.

        I went from Dual Band Deco M5 to Tri Band Deco X68 and certainly felt the difference.

        As someone who has a X68 Deco Dual Pack, I'd recommend getting that instead of the Deco X20 for the tri-band. It really does make a whole world of difference
