  • Damn that is a good price, but I doubt that quoted $2500RRP? They sit closer to the $1600 most days of the week

However please note, these rely on Tuya Smart cloud spyware and Madimack's support in Australia is nigh on non-existant.

    • Agreed $2500 RRP likely inflated. Unaware of the Tuya Smart Cloud, presumably you will only encouter this if you wish to control via the app. From what I can tell all settings can be made on the pump interface itself.

I've heard from their friend that they like pool…

  • I have a hacked version of their 1100w inverter currently running one of my pumps 24x7 for the past 3 years. I use ModBus to change the speeds through Home Assistant.
Just ordered one, as my current pump is getting a bit crunchy.

    • Can you share some details on how you got the modbus gear working? Happy for a PM?

I have tried and failed with my setup.

      • Keen on hearing this too!!

        • It was 3 years ago, so a bit rusty. I also now remember it is not Modbus, as I could not get any help from Madimack, so just went the digital switch route.

          Esp32 running esphome
Setup 4 switches to match the 4 inputs. This gives you on/off and then 3 speeds. You can change the speeds from the interface. I have 1600, 2000 and 2800rpm for mine.

          • @Ijuiceman: Thanks for the tip! Relays or does the gpos control it digitally?

            • @stewface: Correct, they are digital with the gpio’s, I needed 4, so used the esp32

  • Can a normal plumber install these, or is a pool specialist needed?
Also, could this pump be used for solar pool heating?

If it’s a similar layout to your current pump shouldn’t be too hard to install yourself.

Its pretty easy and comes with 50mm or 40mm pressure pipe connections

Great find OP, I was just looking at these yesterday as current pump on its way out. Much cheaper than elsewhere.

Already have the madimack heat pump too

  • How do these compare to astralpool or waterco?

  • Has anyone else ordered and can comment on how long it took to arrive via standard shipping?

    • Got mine today in Brisbane from Sydney so overnight freight

  • Mine arrived at my door today in Brisbane, so fast shipment. All sealed and genuine. Will swap out my crappy Astral monday when i am off work.

    • I had the same experience with mine

  • Received mine and installed - working like a charm, can highly recommend!
