        • "I've got a very bad feeling about this"

    • thanks for this, managed to confirm an order for a couple mugs and a pillow through Zing.

  • tried to grab a kung fu panda pot planter for my mum and the site is shitting itself in checkout, great haha

    • Those pot planters with fake plants look awful in real life.

  • site is under load, but I managed to place 3 orders c&c from different stores. Hopefully some will get through

  • +2

    Site sucks lol

  • Managed to get in a Click & Collect with my local, cart crashed and didn't get confirmation screen, but payment went through and it's in order history so hoping for the best :D

  • +1

Complete nonsense, first time in years I didn't get to level 5 because there were never any real benefits, then they finally have a proper sale and shit the bed for non-level 5s. Not impressed.

Update: managed to order something for delivery which the site was previously telling me was unavailable for delivery, so perhaps it's worth continuing to try…

  • Almost made it through to the checkout earlier but then got hit with the issues.
Giving up now since it all went out of stock in that time I was working my way through, CBF trying any more even though still says Available elsewhere or for delivery.

As the OzB cope saying goes, money saved I guess!

  • +3

Keeps asking me to log on, after I logged on.
Guess I will save my money.

    • +1

      Same

      • +3

Finally got through, but its all sold out now.
        Waste of time.

        • Same… Shame… Too slow

    • Same here

  • +2

the site keeps crashing, how annoying

  • Oof got a couple of click and collects via zing.

  • +1

    Can’t buy a single thing

  • +7

Slow website (both zing & EB)
Stock is not updating in real time
    Keeps asking to login
    Not worth the hassle

  • Bought some mugs, maybe they'll ship.

    Maybe they won't.

  • +1

Clicked on place order, I can see a pending charge on my credit card for $0. Not even sure if it went through or not.

They totally shat the bed for non-members.

  • +1

Anyone received email confirmation of orders yet? Took screenshots of 2 out of 3 orders but havent got emails. Bank charges have gome through

    • +1

Yes, emails arrived 30 mins after I placed order

  • +3

typical EB shenanigans. had a cart full, kept on emptying trying to check out and now nothing is available

  • Got one $1 Mario mug for click and collect, Fingers crossed 🤞

  • +2

    Lol it's all sold out
Sucks you in with false hope. Upon checkout none of the items are in stock

  • +2

waste of time… available, doesn't mean available

  • Unobtainable deal!

  • +1

Super hecker pro tip - Don't login. If EB hates you as much as they seem to hate me, logout, open a private browser window (optional) and if your local click and collect store had stock but denied you before, it will magically be back and let you buy.

  • Guys try zing instead of EB as per earlier comments - seems to be a lot faster

  • +8

Added 10 items to cart and they want to send 5 separate deliveries totalling $60 … yeah nah

    • same here

    • +1

The stock will be scraps across the country hence the excess postage, they should have sent it all to a central DC and sent from there. But hey would what I know lol

  • The site seems to be working a bit better now.

  • Confirmed looks like most ppl went to sleep I finally got myself some mugs lol

  • -2

I don't have to be a level 5 or EB Plus member to get these deals.

  • Finally went through. Time for bed. Better not cancel.

  • Did manage to order multiple items, click and collect, Brisbane

    • +5

$23 to ship 9 mugs seems fairly reasonable to me. Those cost don’t go down with the price of the goods and it’d still be just a tad over $3 a mug once all is said and done.

      • Kills the bargain though. I can get a cheap mug from KMart for $1.

        https://www.kmart.com.au/product/white-mug-41541531/

The only thing that made this a bargain was they were cheap AND branded. But anything with nice branding will sell out immediately so you get the rubbish no one wants, and the shipping kills the deal.

But you know what peeps, downvote away and have plenty of fun doing it. Buy overpriced mugs with branding you don't actually want. Oh and I hope you like watching EB continue to decline until it is finally killed. I won't bother wasting my time negging here again. Lesson learnt.

  • +1

Thanks, OP. I picked up a Switch carry case for $8: https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/286346-ni…

Hot tip: A lot of these items are also listed on EB's ebay store. Most are the same price, some have free shipping, which EB Games own website doesnt offer.
    Plus eBay's website actually functions!
Plus if you have eBay Plus you can use some of your $5 monthly vouchers.

    • Just discovered this myself, items that Ebgames refused to 'Deliver to my area' worked ordered perfectly fine on Ebgames - Ebay with free shipping.

    • Thanks. But cant find the $1 deals

      • Also no c&c :( postage is 9.95

  • +1

Successfully ordered the $1 mug I want when I woke up this morning! Failed to select c&c last night (infinite login…)

  • I see the Seagate - Game Drive PS5 NVMe™ 2TB SSD for PS5 down to $199. Reviews look good and it's in stock.

On checkout not available… shit site.

  • +1

So frustrating to shop online with EB. There is a limit of 12 items in cart and then there are a bunch of things that say they're available for home delivery until I try to check out.

  • +2

Added 12 items, couldnt add any more. Told me to check out then start again. Went to check out, they wanted to post it in 5 different deliveries charging between $10 & $14 eachtime. So 12 items totalling $30 ended up coming in at $85 including delivery.

Good news for everyone is there are now 12 more bargains that were set free from my cart because stuff that.

  • I tried to order a few things right on midnight, but everything was just "these items cannot be delivered to your area please choose click and collect instead" but when I refreshed the main sale page immediately after, they were showing as Out of Stock, even though I could still add them to my cart.

  • just FYI - they have "That's My Fish" listed as $80 down to $20. It's a $25 game, max. So there's some scummy listings up there.

    • +1

The RRP is definately exaggerated, but it's not a $25 game. Only one store is selling it at that price, all others are at $50 ish.

      • there's 2 versions of the game, the one listed on EB is the pocket version. admittedly there's some confusion, but either way..

  • Wonder how many cancellations there will be.
Checked out their eBay feedback after the earlier comment about the matching prices and at a glance they don't seem to hesitate in doing that like certain other OzBargained sellers.

  • Landfill

  • all good stuff gone

  • +4

I gave up, couldn't filter for in stock items at my local store, only 'click and collect' but that brings up anything that is available at any store. I selected about 5 items totalling $20 but then it said it would need to be sent in 3 separate orders and postage was going to $30+

Horrible online store that you can't filter for stock at a particular store.

  • I'm confused by the Delivery stuff.

Added a few items to my cart for home delivery. After some were removed due to stock issues, the website tells me the delivery fee is $6.95 (or so). I added a $1 keychain, and the website tells me that my order will be split into 2 deliveries, with the total delivery fee jumping to $20.90. What I don't quite understand is that the item that was moved to "Delivery 2" used to be in the same "Delivery 1". Removing the keychain reverts to a single delivery.

In the end I gave up, especially after getting those "error logging in" error several times. Annoying AF.

  • "Half of the confusion in the world comes from not knowing how little we need… I live more simply now, and with more peace" - Richard Byrd's, not mine 😌

  • Just walked in and can confirm it's online only :(

  • -2

Don't even know why i bothered, eb website sharted its self last night, but managed to put the order through early this moring now action is required as items can't be found in store but can be shipped at no extra cost to you, so i chose that option and after adding delivery address sorry it not possible. Smh.

  • +1

Oh my god, what an awful checkout experience. First I was shocked to see the few items I'd put into my card were split into multiple deliveries, for a total of $59 – nope! So I removed the odd things that were on their own, and then random things from the biggest delivery started getting shifted out to create new smaller deliveries. Argh! Is EB always so bad?

EDIT: I ended up fiddling around so much that it eventually told me "too many attempts", so now I'm blocked (presumably temporarily). 🙃

    • Yeah I got too many attempts and then they sold the stuff in my cart.

  • -1

Neg. The online cart for online order experience was extremely poor. Items lumped together for no discernable reaosn, other items shipped separately. Postage goes up inconsistent amounts and some had different AusPost methods availabe - some only expensive ones. Cart has a maximum size, which made it impossible to keep track of all the items that had good postage options.

After way too long I finally decided what I wanted to buy (postage was more than products; but an O-K deal I guess) - and then it said too many attempts try again later.

I got lunch came back and they had sold the items in my cart.

Doubt I will bother with multiple delivered items form ebgames online again.

  • What's the point of having the ability to give negs if people who don't like the neg can downvote and remove them? This board is such an irritation.

  • My local EB Games turned me away for my click and collect order even after I received confirmation it was ready.

    • Wow really? What did they say?

      • +2

"that was a great deal, so good that I decided to cancel your order and buy it myself!"

  • Family member I ordered HeroQuest and the two $25 expansions for got those today. That shipped using Uber, which I hadn’t heard of EB using.

Waiting on the video games I ordered for myself.

  • I was able to order an item for C&C while there were stock available, but then they had to refund me because they didn't actually have stock at the store. Now that the item is sold out, I have no way to re-order. Annoying. It's like I need to order multiple copies to ensure I can get one and then return any excess copies.

  • William st store in Perth has locked its doors sighting it issues. :(

  • +1

"couldn’t find one or more of your items.
There may be a chance that we can ship your order from another location at no extra cost.
Please click Edit Order below to explore your options."

and then… out of stock in all locations.

Bit stupid that they make you cancel the order that they can't fulfil.
Should be a cancellation email with an apology as a minimum.

  • +2

eb games deals are such a waste of time

  • -2

    it’s a 1$ mug guys. relax.

  • Damn missed the op saying Monday

Was gonna get some of the cartoon cups today now expired

  • Ordered 6 items for pickup at local store, one single item is not in stock there so they will do nothing but cancel the whole order.
They have the other items in the order in stock, in that store, and they say i can still buy them if i want, but they will be full price… what a bloody farce.

  • What an absolute shit show. Half the items i ordered accross ebay and eb games website cancelled, some not sent 3 days later still, those that have arrived are all "shop soiled" (scratches/gouges/stickers/sticker remainder on game cases) nothing actually brand new and sealed, even the heroquest box set has quite clearly had all four seals opened and poorly stuck back on.
This is just as a bad as JB hifi who i stopped shopping from due to everything "new" i bought from them arriving worn and damaged.
Main EB phone support wont answer their phone for days, you get hung on up on by their automated system within 20 seconds.
Are there any honest businesses/sellers out there anymore?

  • Good to see all the stuff that wasnt available during the sale is now back in stock at full price. Clickbait.
