Bought the Ultras for $315 on Amazon the other day. Are these better in any way, shape or form?
The new Bose gen 2 QC earbuds are OK, but not quite hitting it right for me….
My favourites are the Bose QC earbuds from 2020/2021 - too bad I lost them. They performed better than any buds I've had, even the newer ones.. and the misc performance was top tier.
Ultra is better.
Few reddit posts indicate this model had connectivity issues. Good price once stacked with offers but I would pass.

Agree. Very annoying buds. Every few weeks i need to hard reset them as either wont pair or one side wont work.

I did, and when they told me they were out of warranty (past 1 year), I brought up Australian consumer protection laws and they quickly offered me a pair of replacements.
After I returned the QCII’s, I received a lair of Ultra’s within 2 weeks. Zero connection issues with these.
@seerious: Did you call them? I tried to fill out the form and it just gave an automated response with discount for Ultras. Tried the chat bot but didnt get anywhere but another form. Worst case i suppose i could hassle amazon for a refund.

Worth trying again. They initially tried to give me the discount on the Ultras ($279 iirc)
@seerious: Finally ended up them agreeing return for replacement. What a major song and dance to reach an agent then get to this point. Crikey, they sure do make it an effort.
@Xizor: Glad it worked out. I’m fairly impressed with the Ultra’s to be honest. They do feel more premium than the QCII’s, and I’ve had zero syncing issues so far.
Tuning is a little bombastic for me, but the ANC is really is great.
I still have to reset mine every week to fix pairing issues. It's an absolute joke that it hasn't been fixed.
These are garbage.
Only pair of TWS I own which failed me. Constant connection issues. The good news is Bose looked after me and replaced them with some Ultra’s, which are night and day better.
I’d also note that the occlusion and popping effect from these QCII made them unusable for many scenarios.

No. Use Silicon buds for static noise isolation. Or look up Ozlo sleep buds. I have both. Thankfully for me this time of year with the AC that static noise is enough.
Do these have microphone? Wanna replace air pods.

Neither will the 10% welcome discount. However it is a significantly cheaper option for ear buds that have an as new warranty.

had two pairs of generation 1 Bose earbuds, each dead just after 1 year.
had two pairs of this Earbuds II, again each pair dead not long after the warranty period of 1 year.
The customer service always kindly offered me to buy a new pair at a discounted price.
I will leave you to make your informed decision if this is worth it.

This happened in Dec last year just within warranty. I took it good guys in Jan 2024 and the Bose service centre asked for $250 to repair. I bought air pods pro for around the same price.
Can’t be bothered arguing with them. Definitely they have more noise cancellation than air pods pro.
1 year manufacturers warranty or 2 years via ACCC?

this brand is an excellent brand, of quality, customer service, sound, noise reduction, ANC, and bugs and disconnections, speaking of experience of an entire year with QC2 and QC ultra earbuds, i am now on my 5th pair and still having issues.
Bought it for $189 last year!
